I am so glad I came back to an old favorite last night! It was my husband's first time there and I was nervous because he really like Italian food and has high/Chicago standards. We wre both extremely impressed! We both ordered lobster bisque soup and Karen's Pasta with garlic knots. All were amazing! I have never seen my husband take home leftovers from a restaurant, but last night neither of us could finish. Lucky us! He was also shocked by how low the bill was! Extremely good value for our money. The service was outstanding as well. The young wait staff was very friendly and efficient. They seemed to be working as a team took care of us and the rest of the room together. We never had to wait for anything. At least 2 said "good night and thank you" on our way out. Great experience overall! Karen, any chance you might offer a pasta alternative such as zucchini or broccoli? We'd make the 45 minute drive...

I ordered the Italian beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese and it comes with French fries. There was a good amount of beef on a good sized bun. However, the beef had no taste whatsoever and the mozzarella cheese was so skimpy I couldn't find it. My husband ordered the half order of pasta Alfredo with shrimp. He said it was good and the portion size was correct for half order. However, it was supposed to come with soup and bread. He got the bread but did not get the soup. Also, no utensils, no napkins, and no condiments, (salt, ketchup for the French fries) so if you plan on eating in the park or the car and you order a lunch to go, better be sure to ask for the items that would allow you to be able to eat the food. I originally gave this 3 and said I wished I could give it a 3.5 but that's not really fair. Well go 4 and wish we could do 3.5 instead. I had the Perch dinner and thought it was good but not great. My wife had a pasta dish and didn't care for it. It's important to note that this is our first visit, perhaps it was just a bad day, hard to be sure. Staff was polite, friendly, and quick.

I cant find where to post another reply, I'll edit here instead: my perch arrived warm but not very hot, and seemed like it was dry, perhaps it cooked a bit too long, like I said before still good but not all I was hoping for. The garlic mashed potatoes were great. My wife had the chicken Alfredo and felt like the noodles were overdone and garlic was the only noticable seasoning.
