Sahara Pizza Winlock — Restaurant in Winlock

Celiacs beware!! Sadly, I used to adore Sahara Pizza-Winlock. Having celiac disease makes it difficult to eat out. I am always very clear that it is an absolute allergy. This is the fourth time this year, in a row, where I have an attack after eating their pizza. A celiac attack is no casual matter. The crust is gluten-free but they do not take all the necessary precautions to consider it free from gluten. Unfortunately that's really false advertising and very dangerous for people like me. My husband and I have tried to respectfully educate them. (Not much is known in a small town about celiac disease and other things such as it), but our information was met with flippant faces and deaf ears of mostly teens. :-( I have brought this to their attention many times and nothing has come of it. Unfortunately this time it wasn't even tasty at all. The center was all mutilated and had an awful melee texture. Celiacs beware!! Sorry...

I order from Sahara occasionally when I can afford it. They have delicious pizza and I’m in love with their jungle veggie! I always order extra zucchini and mushrooms and I do so online with their delivery feature. The last few times I’ve ordered they’ve put tomatoes on the pizza when I have very specifically asked for no tomatoes via their website. This isn’t usually a big deal I will pick them off but it’s happened on more than one occasion. I just don’t think hot tomatoes are good on a pizza. Period. Call me picky or whatever you want but if I’m paying 30 dollars to have a pizza delivered to my house it should be correct. 2 star review and I’ll be ordering...

Finally got around to ordering a pizza from Sahara. I can't say that I was expecting much.

What a wonderful surprise! Great crust, delicious sauce, large chunks of fresh ingredients and they even had anchovies!

I realize that there are many regional styles of pizza and that one's preference can vary wildly, but this is just good.

We did delivery, too. On time and hot. Ordered on the app as well. It worked fine.

Expensive? Compared to what? I think the prices are very fair for the quality. Plus... coupons, discounts and specials are abundant and easy to use.

I can't say we'll be back (because we had it delivered). But I will...
