Woodeye's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Winneconne

This previously was our go to for fish but things have changed since our last visit. (Which was maybe a year and a half ago, we moved over an hour away and were in the process of building otherwise we would have been there more). We have to travel a distance now but as this was our favorite we were happy to make the drive. Got our food and we were soooo disappointed. We got walleye and perch. Both very dry. It was weird. Coleslaw sauce was separated and watery. We previously LOVED their lobster bisque so we both got a bowl and were disappointed as there was not a single chunk of lobster in it anymore. Did ask about the soup and they are getting this thru a new vendor. Bread was dry. Side salads very good lots of toppings! Not sure if everything was coming from a new vendor since we had last been there but we won't be back. Prices went up (not a big deal inflation is a thing) and quality went down (which is where the problem lies for us) i will say they have the right price on an awesome old fashion tho! Good atmosphere. Okay service, as we never got checked on after our Food was delivered until the bill was brought to us and it was not busy we were there at like 130 2 ish...

We stopped in before the homecoming game and the place was packed due to the Brewer game. It was roughly 6pm. We immediately started a back up plan for food since we didn't see any way possible that we could get food and be to the game at 6:45 to see our kids sing the anthem before the game. There we ten in our group and the hostess assured us we would be fine. She set up a couple tables in the back room where we could still see the game and the kids had room to play without disrupting other customers. Our waitress ( I wish I got her name) promptly came out and took our order. I happened to notice it was 6:07. Again, we discussed "to go" boxes for our food. Well, there was no need! Our food came out so fast and was delicious! From the sampler platter to the fish dinners everything was great! And we we're on time for the homecoming festivities! My Dad decided on a low key dinner at Woodeye's for Father's Day this year. First, the food was great. The younger blonde female behind the bar, however, might consider another vocation that is not in the service industry. Most seats were taken at the bar, yet she spent all of her time, smiles, and upbeat attitude on the small group of younger men who were anchored at one end. Our food order was taken by a very kind and personable younger female with dark hair that we didn't see again. The blonde delivered our food, but clearly did not notice two of three of our glasses were empty and we were never asked if we wanted another. My parents have visited previously and have had similar experiences with this bartender.
