Made the decision to eat dinner out after a month-long travel trailer journey. We were staying Nextdoor at the RV park and decided an early dinner (5pm) would be in our best interests as there was no other real dining options nearby.
We were seated promptly at a booth (there were 4 of us - 6 could have easily fit at the booth).
Our dinner partners wanted an appetizer and selected the garlic/parmesan fries. No one at the table was disappointed. They were hot and they were loaded.
My wife ordered a glass of wine, and for $8, the portion was quite reasonable. I went with a lemonade, which was refilled multiple times and was a steal for $3.
For the main meals, my wife ordered the Cajun Butter Salmon as was not disappointed. For seafood in the middle of Nevada, it was good. I ordered the Loaded Bird, which was the item on the menu that caught my eye as in my culinary realm (I did not want wings or the chicken fingers that heavily dominated the menu. The meal was to come with mashed potatoes and vegetables. As I was about to say I would just give my wife the vegetables, our dinner partner asked if I could sub a side salad for the vegetables - the response from waitress Ariel was "not a problem". Well the non-problem ended up being a very large salad. It was truly way more than a side - it could have almost been a meal. The Loaded Bird was outstanding - the chicken breasts were tender and the mushrooms and cheese atop was plentiful. The mashed potatoes were hot and complimented the meal well.
While we had eaten well, the dessert menu was attractive (interestingly it has no prices on the 3 options). We asked for the costs and my wife selected the Cookie Cookie, which was ice cream over a skilled baked chocolate chip cookie (similar to what other restaurants make and serve under different names). This dessert was very good and reasonable at $8.
Our service was impacted by the fact that the restaurant filled after our arrival and our waitress was being pulled in many directions. We never felt ignored, but check ins were far between but attentive. She was hustling and dealing with your mixed crowd of happy to be there clientele and the few people that gripe about almost anything. Most of the crowd however seemed upbeat and understanding. When we left after a two hour meal experience, there were about 4 groups waiting to be seated.
So, if you are on the east end of Winnemucca, the Wingers Restaurant and Alehouse is a good meal option. Prices are reasonable, and the...

This review is only directed at the Winnemucca, NV. location. My family and I visit this Wingers roughly 4 times a year when we come to Winnemucca and usually have a group of 12-15 people. I am currently working in Winnemucca for a month and this was my third visit this week. I took my family there tonight while they were here visiting. Our waitress was great as always but when we received our food I questioned the size of the nachos (8-10 chips) that came with the WTF combo which is any 1 starter item combined with 4 wings & 4 chicken fingers for $16.50. They told me you only get a sample size of the starter which the menu clearly does not say that. I asked to speak with a manager because I was basically paying an additional $7 for a tiny plate of nachos. The manager (Rudy) argued that is the way corporate does it. I said it only says 1 of the above items on the combo, not a sample size, and that if corporate wanted it that way they would have printed that on the menu. I asked if I ordered just the nachos ($9) what would I get. He said a large plate of nachos, using his hands as reference. I told him that is what was expected and he should bring us that or we would leave and not pay for it. He said if I did he would call the cops. I then asked to speak to the owner, whom he referenced at one point and he said they would tell me the same. I again asked to speak to the owner so I could hear it straight from them. As we ate and waited for the owner, the manager came walking back to our table about 10 minutes later without the owner but with two police officers whom he had called. Luckily there were only two other tables with customers at 8:00 on a Saturday night but it was still embarrassing. The officers waited until the manager produced the bill and we paid it before they left. I was dumbfounded that it came to that. I'm a pretty forgiving person and we've had several issues here before, but the service has been great and most of the time the food has been good too. I introduced 5 new people to Wingers this week alone but never again in Winnemucca. Considering it's never busy in a town with hundreds of miners and located next to a man camp & RV Park speaks to a larger problem, management...
Read moreThree of us came in. Two of the meals were pretty good, but one of the meals wasn’t. When we expressed our dislike of third meal the waitress said she would get it handled right away. The waitress was great, she did an excellent job despite things that were out of her control. The manager came out and offered 50% off the meal, and claimed the complaint wasn’t lodged before the meal was eaten. My friend had taken bites of each of the pieces of fish to see if they were all bad but he had not eaten the whole meal, there was plenty of food left on his plate. The three of us are veterans, two of us being service connected disabled veterans. We were told we could only have either the 50% off the meal OR the veterans discount, not both. The two shouldn’t have anything to do with each other. My friend did get a little belligerent because he has PTSD and does not handle stress well, (he’s a Vietnam combat veteran). We left and then made a complaint on through the website. The owner replied and again accused my friend of eating the meal before complaining and claims we made the waitress cry and left all the staff “disheartened” for the rest of the night. Like I said, my friend did get a little belligerent but he didn’t yell or raise his voice, just expressed disappointment in how he was being treated. They could have offered to remake the meal or serve him something else from the menu, but that wasn’t even offered. I do not recommend people visit this Winger’s location. The owner is rude and doesn’t treat customers well. Again, the waitress was very nice and did a great job, it’s the owner and manager (who I think was simply following the owners commands) we have...
