Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Winnsboro

The family and I ate here for a weeknight dinner and was disappointed to say the least. It wasn't very busy, which was nice, but that also meant that the buffet wasn't keep as fresh as it should. Probably the most disturbing issue was that we were helped by a child that probably was between 5 to 6 years old that helped us get seated at our table, take our drink orders (and refill them multiple times) along with cleaning up dirty plates. The only adult I could see working for the first 20 to 25 minutes of our meal was a man working in the kitchen, it appeared that the 5/6 year old and a child that was a little older (maybe 10 or 11) were running the front of the restaurant. The younger one waiting tables and the older one working the register. I am not sure what the laws are regarding this, but I think it screams DHEC violation and SafeServe violations all day. Its not that i dislike it. I just feel they rip ppl off. Went in and wanted take out because i was alone. No need to sit in. Omg! Holly cow! My plate which was pork fried rice, mushrooms with brown gravy, 1 egg roll, spoon of sweetsour chicken. Thats it. And it wasnt packed. It was normal amount or less. Almost.... $15. Yes thats not a typeo. $15. She weighed my plate and rung it up by the pound! Thats the craziest thing ive ever seen. I literly almost had a stroke right there. How in the hell! $5 to eat in. The family that owns/operates this restaurant are amazing! They're very kind and friendly and they make your overall dining experience wonderful. The buffet is constantly being restocked with fresh foods that are great. They are always available to ask any questions you may have about any particular item(s).
