If you’re looking for great Jamaican food, this is definitely NOT the place. There is a huge speaker outside blaring music, I assume to help the vibe of the place?? There is only 1 table inside if you want to eat in and about 6 chairs in a tiny space. The lady that took my order seemed like she had better things to do than to be there cooking food. I told her this was my first time there, I wasn’t sure what to get but she just shrugged and waited. I ordered jerk chicken with cabbage, rice and beans, and a side of fried plantains. She was bagging up my food then asked if I like chicken breast, I said yes. She told me to pour the sauce on the chicken, tied up the bag and I left. My total was $24 which included a tip, tax and their extra fee.
When I got home and saw my meal I was incredibly disappointed. There was an over-cooked, incredibly dry piece of chicken, not even the whole breast. The cabbage was still crunchy and barely cooked and I basically got a plate full of rice. The cup of sauce was only half filled. The plantains were absolutely horrible, inedible. They were cut super thick but not fully cooked. I had to cut them with a knife. There was no seasoning or salt on them and they were dry. Ended up supplementing my dog’s food with them.
This place is a huge disappointment. I don’t feel like they take pride in their meals. This was just thrown together and they are charging a premium ($16 for the jerk chicken, includes cabbage and rice) for essentially a container of rice. Complete waste of money, did not...
