Hot Dog City — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

I've been coming to this place for years. They have so many things on the menu, I have yet to even scratch the surface of trying all they have to offer. I got a Bacon Burger this time, I will mention the bacon was Canadian Ham. The burger itself was great but I'm not a fan of ham on a burger. Onion rings were hot and fresh! The ranch is lacking, I'm a lover of " restaurant ranch" and that ain't it..still good but it's not that ranch. My hubs got a Jalapeño chili cheese footlong hot dog. It was perfection, the weenie itself was so good! The mistake was made when my hubby ordered the Philly Cheese Steak fries. He got the small and we BOTH couldn't finish them. The meat was perfectly seasoned, if this is what their Philly Sandwich has on it...I can't wait to try it!!! I have to note that our mistake in buying the fries was the long wait in cooking them. (Well worth the wait! But we were crunched for time) They have several notices reminding you to be patient,they aren't fast food. So I can't blame them a bit,I'm not upset..I just wish I had known it would take longer to make that particular item. Maybe in the future they could say, "Hey, this item will take 25 minutes to prepare." And then I could decide if I could wait. Again, do not let this deter you from going!!! Just make sure you have time and patience. Great things come to those who wait and this place is a prime...

Been a minute since I've ordered from this spot...not much has change although it use to have a slightly higher grade than a 93.0,anywho...nothing against the spot but it does have it's moments as i observed..For starters,i understand family owned businesses but that doesn't mean be unprofessional just cause its family.Kids should be held to the same sanitary guidelines as adults. Especially when they are dealing with the food and drinks.The establishment is already small,therefore the limits of children running from outside to the kitchen eating an doing whatever they choose should be controlled better.Im not a big fan of ordering food,then watch some kids come into the kitchen straight from outside to be coughing an sneezing in the kitchen around the food..Not to mention,being given food to eat on right there....An that was just a portion of what i witness today..I guess hygiene an cov19 is truly a joke to most ppl...Yes,i know plenty ppl eat there,hell,i used to eat there(mostly delivery)...But now I've witness an actual inside visit,well,let's just say you can continue to dine in or carry out.....BUT ILL PASS!

And yes,i paid for my food an gave it to the lady outside that was asking for change.Hopefully this establishment gets better cause i know ppln like...

Called at 4:30pm bc I worked a long day and didn't want to go back out... the person who answered the phone told me to call back at 5:30pm if I wanted a delivery. I call back at 5:30pm & they don't answer. The food is good but their service SUCKS! I order from them all the time & it's never a smooth experience but their food is awesome... (to be continued) Ok, so it's now 7:43pm and I waited over an hour for a delivery. The delivery guy came and... angry face he handed me a plastic bag with my drinks floating around in the bottom of the bag & none in the cup... the food was cold, he had to leave to get change & come back. I call back to complain about the drinks & the daughter of the owner apologizes & says she will send him back with more beverages... I'll wait & see. I didn't even bother my blood pressure to call back and complain about the food. We jus threw it away. I'm so disgusted with them & if they had better staff instead of the trash that answers the phone (not the daughter she's awesome) & their delivery guys they would be 100% the outsiders they hire are ghetto & jus don't give a dam! Hopefully the read their reviews & tighten up on their service bc they have good food & the owner & his...
