1st time there for my husband, 12 y/o daughter and I. We arrived there around 4:30 and were seated immediately. We ordered the onion loaf, which was not at all greasy like a bloomin onion and very tasty with its side of loaf sauce. My husband had some wonderfully breaded baked oysters and a crock of french onion soup which was aromatic and presented well with loads of browed bubbling, yummy Swiss and Mozzarella cheeses to start. All three items were flavorful and good portions. We would definitely order again. My daughter had the broiled shrimp, salad, fries and hush puppies, I had the broiled chelan sea bass with the same sides. My husband had a broiled combo consisting of fish, shrimp, scallops, crab Imperial (baked casserole type dish) and cluster of snow crab legs, fries and hush puppies. My husband did mention the crab legs were a bit thin with not a lot of meat but still definitely delicious and worth the price. My daughter finished with the peanut butter pie and my husband had the coconut cream pie which was a bit frozen on arrival to our table but still delicious. Our waitress (Misty or Missy) I believe was quick to meet our needs, efficient and friendly. The staff as a whole were very attentive. It is a small dining establishment with inside and outside seating overlooking the lake and will fill up fast. When we were leaving there were folks waiting outside for a table just enforcing this establishments popularity. Great experience! And...
Read moreShowed up with a party of 12 and they were happy to serve us. Got a table quickly. Ordered The Deviled Crab Balls, Sweet n Spicy shrimp (mild enough on spice that everyone enjoyed), and Cheese Curds. The apps were small for the size of our party, but we liked em all so much we quickly ordered seconds of each. Also ordered three bowls of Baked French Onion Soup which were deserving of the menus "Award Winning Claim." Just delicious.
For entrees my wife and I split a Shrimp and Lobster Boil which was really good. The dish that really stole the show was the Fried Shrimp Plates. Two people in our group ordered the large Fried Shrimp Plate and it was plentiful enough that everyone at the table got to enjoy a few. This was definitely amoung the best Fried shrimp plates any of us had, and we can be picky when it comes to Fried Shrimp.
Really impressed with the staff who seemed to be more happy than annoyed that our large group of 12 showed up, which isn't always the case when we all decide to vacation together.
On our next visit I'm definitely ordering the Cheese Curds and Crab Balls again, and will probably have to get the Baked French Onion Soup as well. For the entree going to have to go with the fried shrimp, it really...
Read moreVery disappointed. On the menu, they recommend the fresh fish selections, of which I chose "Mangrove Snapper", recommended served broiled with lemon and garlic butter. I chose potatoes and collard greens with bacon as a side. The wait was expected, as it was a Friday evening dinner rush. When the food arrived, I was served two broiled fish fillets covered in Old Bay seasoning, two baby red potatoes, two hushpuppies and Lima beans and corn as a side. When I told my server he had brought the wrong side his reply was, "Yeah! They switched it up!" as if this was supposed to be a surprise!! Not, "Oh, I apologize, let me get that taken care of", or even a, "Oh, I'm sorry, we are out of the collard greens", just they they switched it up! Then when I pointed out I had ordered my snapper broiled with lemon butter and garlic, not blackened, his reply was, "Oh, it's not blackened, we put Old Bay seasoning on everything!" This server had issues with the entire section while we were there. Wrong orders, forgetting to put in apps, etc. Not sure if it's him, the back, or mgmt., but this evening was not an enjoyable dining experience by any stretch of the imagination, and I can't...
