Overall I had a good experience here.
My husband and I loved the way the restaurant looked. He pointed out how he liked the lighting and the tiles on the ceiling. I thought it was nice as well but it's a VERY small space. For a small space the tables seemed to be arranged for larger groups. There was only one table for just two people, one for four, then the other two or three were larger. I may have had a better experience if it was warmer and we sat outside. The outside seating area seemed nice when we walked by it.
We had to order at the counter instead of with a waitress/server. This was uncomfortable for me because I usually like to chat with the server and ask about the menu and get their recommendations. I also like to order a couple of things to try then continue looking over the menu to see if there are additional items I want to try. I just didn't feel comfortable doing that here. I felt like I needed to get in and get out so I wasn't taking up the limited space if other people came to eat. In no way did anyone make me feel rushed, it was just me personally feeling uncomfortble.
The food was good but for the price I expected more. The avocado toast wasn't the regular sized piece of toast that I am used to getting at other restaurants. It was a small slice of sourdough that was half the size of what I expected. It was very good and was a pretty plate. The onions were a great addition to the flavor. I definitely recommend trying this but manage your expectations on the portion size. I got a side of the potato/hashbrown casserole and it was a little underwhelming. It was good but again, I expected a little more. The presentation, a scoop, was a little off putting. It seemed congealed vs creamy but it was warm so I assume that is how it was intended to be.
We also ordered the crunch wrap. It was good as well. The tortilla was good and the corn chips inside were very crunchy which I appreciated. The chips also had a very good corn flavor to them. I would honestly buy the chips, they were that good and unlike any tortilla chip I've ever had. They also seemed thicker than typical chips but they were also airy and crispy. The filling in the wrap was good but I would have loved something else added in to give it more flavor, maybe onions and peppers or some sort of taco/tex mex seasoning. The crunch wrap was a great portion size! Overall I loved it and recommend giving it a try. It came with a side, I chose the fresh fruit. I requested a go to container for the fruit but I think the waitress forgot because she went back behind the counter and made a drink then went to take an order at a different table. My husband and I just wolfed the fruit down and left.
I will say that we visited on a week day so the menu offerings were less extravagant than the weekend brunch menu. I chose to come here based on fancy pictures I saw posted on social media but I realized these were most likely pictures of weekend brunch items. I will definately go back again to try it during weekend brunch when it's warmer and I can...
Read moreIf you're looking for a warm, inviting cafe that serves up comfort food with a gourmet twist, this spot absolutely delivers. With a relaxed atmosphere. a thoughtful menu, and standout specialty drinks, it's the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite. The atmosphere, from the moment you walk in, the cozy ambiance sets the tone. Soft lighting and a friendly buzz of conversation create the perfect environment to settle in---whether you're starting your day or pausing for a well earned lunch break. I highly recommend getting the Chef's breakfast bowl it's the star of the morning. A fluffy biscuit with egg then blanketed in rich, savory sausage gravy. The combination is indulgent in the best way----comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. I went with the side of hashbrown casserole and it went perfectly with the main dish. It was crispy on the edges, nice creamy center, and totally satisfying. For my drink i went with a White chocolate blueberry latte it was a pleasant surprise. Smooth, creamy white chocolate balances by the pop of real blueberry flavor made for a drink that's sweet, sophisticated, and totally unique. Service was top notch genuine, friendly, and attentive without hovering. The staff seem to take real pride in what they are serving, and it shows in both the food and...
Read moreOh man! Why oh why did I wait so long to try this place?! It is TOP tier. I have not found a better sandwich in Greenville, and certainly gives a run for its money to Triangle place I’ve tried.
It is a beautiful place. Shaina has done a beautiful job making it look both inviting and cozy as well as aesthetically pleasing. It is boho and mid-century with lots of plants. Stunning! Shaina and husband, Matt are easy going and easy to talk to. Their passion for customer care is evident and just sitting there watching interactions, I noticed lots of regulars and friendly relationships with patrons. We all chatted at length too!
The food was unexpectedly tasty. I had no idea. I got a simple chicken and bacon and avocado with side salad at about 11:31 and by 11:38, my brain exploded (in the best possible way). The flavors!! Parmesan crusting in the bread, each element of the sandwich imbued with careful flavor attention. Even the blue cheese for my salad had stone ground mustard in it - I’ve never had that - and it was great! Moved in to coffee and a cinnamon roll, which obviously revived me from the dead and filled me with the joy of 1,000 suns.
It was so good! I am already planning to be back next week as I conveniently scheduled a meeting there….or should I...
