Unbelievable.... Really! We ordered three meals and skipped the potato on two on purpose. Two were to include free dessert. Salads were fair.The shrimp was good and chicken OK too. The peas and carrots were awful. Carrots were overcooked and peas were dry and hard like left in an open container in the fridge for two weeks. Many were black. Yuck!!! I requested freshly cooked vegetables and they were never brought out, even after another, 15+ minute wait. The sunny side eggs came out the first time, over easy and overcooked. Second time, not flipped but cooked on high, bottoms were so browned you couldn't cut with the edge of your fork! Eventually the owner/cook came out and kept saying"everyone make mistakes!" She refused to give credit for not serving the vegetables. Then she offered free dessert. I said we were waiting for that too, but with coats on and poor service, we couldn't wait any longer. Then she explained that her free dessert is vanilla or chocolate, or tapioca. Yep! Pudding is your dessert. But we will give it free even though we charged you for it. Huh??? I asked the owners name and she said she owned it. There was no recourse but to warn others about the poor quality of food, poor preparation, and poor service. But hey, if you like pudding, you can have mine! Even without serving us two portions of potatoes and two desserts, and vegetables, she accepted the cash offered which was a buck under the bill, so we could get out of there. Nice. Will never go back. No healthier than fast food and at ten bucks a meal and only getting half of it... Not a wise choice. She should not own...

Only 3 things made me deduct a star, first being the initial walk in, the hall way to the main door smells like manure. It's very off putting, I was unsure if we wanted to eat here so off putting. Second was the wait staff seemed very frazzled and discombobulated when it wasn't even a full house. Forgetting to refill drinks, ignored when waved at for help, ect. Third isn't the staffs fault at all. More of an equipment issue. The debit/credit machine was down and I had to go across the street to the ATM to get cash.

Minus those three "discomfort" things the food was delicious, fair for the prices, and had a very pleasant atmosphere. I'll definitely stop again, and have even suggested it to a friend of mine who travels that way VERY often whom I brought a plate to go for that couldn't bring his high down the road further do to parking issues possibly. I visit my granddaughter and her husband several times a year. Our tradition has been to go for Sunday breakfast before I head home. We’ve always gone to this restaurant for our Sunday morning breakfast. Yesterday the food and coffee were awful. Three of us had black coffee. I immediately tasted something that had a chemical taste to it and it was very weak. I asked the others about their coffee and they had the same response. We asked the server for three fresh coffees, explaining what was wrong. The new coffee and coffee cups had the same taste. We drank water. None of our 3 breakfasts were good. None of us finished them. Yes, we could have let the server know that the food mediocre and unacceptable but that would have caused a delay in our schedule for the day and since the second round of coffee wasn’t any better than the first, who’s to say a new round of food would be better? We will not be back to this...
