I’ve been a loyal customer of Panzini’s Pizza House for years, but after my most recent visit, I’m questioning whether I’ll return. What used to be a reliable spot for a decent, affordable meal has become a huge letdown.
Food: 2/5 Almost everything we ordered went wrong. I got eggplant parm with a side of pasta and meatballs, but the meatballs were missing—even though I paid for them. I had to drive back to pick them up, along with the mac and cheese they forgot.
The kids’ mac and cheese was a joke—a tiny portion of Kraft mac and cheese, not even enough for a toddler. For the price, it was a complete rip-off.
The five "plain" cheesesteaks were exactly that—no cheese at all, which wasn’t the mistake I made. The garlic bread and twists were dry and rock-hard, clearly sitting under a heat lamp for hours.
Service: 2/5 The service didn’t help matters. The staff was polite, but there was no urgency in fixing the issues. When I pointed out the mistakes, they apologized, but I had to drive back for the missing items with no offer of compensation. It felt like we were an afterthought.
Overall Experience: 1.5/5 I’m not sure what’s happened to Panzini’s Pizza House, but they’ve clearly lost their way. I did not check the order because I actually believed the person when they said here is your order. I got in my car and continued to drive to our house only to receive a phone call letting me know that I was not giving my full order. How does this happen????????? They offered to deliver my food to me and after I told him no 3X's they would not listen to me and were talking over me, I hung up the phone out of frustration. I was then called back again to be told we can deliver it to you to which I respond that I've told you no 3X's. I was then offered a credit that would be linked to my phone number for the next time that I would call. I told them no and they were insistent telling me that we will put it in the computer and we will see it the next time you call to which I told him I will not be calling anytime soon so I want the credit back to my card. Ordered our pizza from here for the first time in over a year, only bc our favorite pizza place took on new owners & it hasn't been the same. After this place became what it is now I think we order twice before our new favorite opened. Super excited to finally get to order mushrooms on half of it, haven't had mushrooms on my pizza in about 2 or so years. When I ordered I ordered half mushrooms- half extra cheese, when I got home I opened the box to find a whole extra cheese pizza NOT ONE MUSHROOM! When I ordered I ordered online so I have two things to prove I ordered half mushrooms. It can't be that hard to read what it says on an 8 x 11 or so piece of paper, can it? I don't mind getting my food a little on the warm side since it's not really bad reheated, in fact I love reheated pizza but I don't just have mushrooms hanging around my house that I can throw on there to make up for it.
