Food was good. Better than most Mexican places. They’re still doing some construction so I knocked then one star for atmosphere. Also, plastic table covers are too long. Outside of that. Menudo is tasty. Would prefer no bones because it took a lot of space in my bowl. Would also prefer they ask what type of tortillas I wanted. They bring flour by default. I prefer corn. They brought corn so no real problem there. Salsa was fresh but needed either salt or more seasoning. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Look forward to going back and trying different food. Prices are about what you expect for a decent sit down restaurant. Food quality was reflected in the pricing.

The salsa was bland. Enjoyed the queso and the botana. Wife said the chimi was bland as well. My biggest complaint is you clearly have an insect problem (fruit flies?). I didn't like swatting them away while eating. How many end up in the food? It's December too. Also you guys are clearly using tables and chairs from when this was the coney island. You didn't even repaint the place. You have boards hanging up to hide broken drywall. I understand trying to get a business open quick and cheap but have some pride. My total bill was $50 ($60 with tip) for 2 adults and a baby to eat bland food in a bug filled, dirty looking reasturaunt. Won't be back.

If you love great food over great decor this is your place. This is by far the best tasting mexican restaurant around all of downriver. Verde salsa was out of this world with a great kick behind it, and the birra was full of flavor and consume was perfect and could be enjoyed by itself. Overall this has become my new favorite go-to.

I contemplated this low of a rating. So it’s not without thought of how this may impact the business. However, I was extremely disappointed by just about everything. EXPENSIVE bland food. I paid nearly $20 for lunch. 3 birria tacos (a la carte) and chips & salsa. The tacos were just ok. Salsa was terrible and discolored. The CHIPS! OMG they were stale & hard. Not to mention $9 for a half of brown paper bag of these hard & stale chips and the weird salsa. I should have made the drive to Detroit or a known place. I would have saved myself some money even factoring in gas. In my experience with Mexican food, you get a lot for your money. I’ve never paid this much for this little. It would have been a completely different rating if the food was super good! I wouldn’t mind paying extra for better. But this was NOT it. They must do...

We ordered carry out from this restaurant and it was a complete let down. We clarified when ordering that the dinner came with rice and beans and tortillas. They assured us it did. Got home to feed ourselves and our child and there was no tortillas, no beans and no rice. We drive back to the restaurant to retrieve these items and the side of rice and beans is small enough for my toddler to eat on her own. So my husband purchased another side of rice and beans and it wasn’t even offered to us for free as an apology for messing up our order and making us drive back to have it corrected. Nachos also came with tomatoes after asking for them to be left off. Now our food is cold and $50+ down the drain. Do not recommend this place. For sure will...
