The staff was friendly but.. We visited in hopes that after opening under a new name that we could expect a decent change in general. Sadly, the experience was far from satisfactory. The front of house was great, very friendly and served with a smile. However, its the food and quality of said food that literally left a bad taste in my mouth. As a place that prides itself on its "italian" cuisine your better off going to olive garden. We ordered calamari and two pasta dishes (assuming that would be the pride of the kitchen). The calamari was old and fried to a point of becoming chips; no texture or taste left from the calamari after being over cooked. I got pasta with seafood as my main. The pasta and sauce itself was that of quality you would expect from a school cafeteria. The seafood was even worse. It was overcooked again and i now understand why; it was old and freezer burnt. I could taste the remnants of the walk in left behind in my calamari. Absolutely disgusting, would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Maybe if they put some heart into the food or hired an actual chef or anyone who knows anything about the culinary arts and or someone who had some passion for the restaurant, this would be a good step in the right direction. As of now, your better off going to Applebee's or some other said chain. At the least you'll get the same quality of food but it will be at the least palatable due to their ability to turn product fast enough before spoilage. Best of luck to Sally's. Hope your pizza can keep the...
Read moreThis is becoming my favorite local place to eat and drink. The food has never disappointed (we are former restaurant owners and know and appreciate food made from scratch). The menu is big and offers Italian, American and more so everyone in your group will be happy. The meatball sandwich was fabulous and the bartender made me the best gimlet anyone ever has, with a tiny bit of ice chips floating on top of a giant martini glass and a little on the sweeter side which was perfect for me. The service is always outstanding. The women who have waited on us are always friendly and attentive, and willing to make helpful suggestions. You get the feeling they are a big family here, supporting the new owner and they appreciate your visit. I hope this place is around a long time. It reminds us of the type of atmosphere we strove to provide in our establishment- one where your regulars keep coming back because everyone is treated like...
Read moreTwo stars were given because our server was pretty great. The 3 missing stars are for the food. I'm not sure if this place is under newer management, although it seems as it is since the last time i was there, new uniforms, new employees, and my goodness new pricining, and disappointing food. I had the Crispy Chicken salad...$16.99?? For what 4 chicken bites cut in half a few slices of avocado, maybe a tbsp of canned corn, tomato and a sprinkle of cheese over browning lettuce? Give me a break. Looking at the menu and the pricing was disheartening. $20 for an impossible burger? Needless to say i could have made the food i was sereved for 16.99 and fed 5 people. I understand you need to make a profit but there is a point when it is robberie especially if the food sucks. Oh and black olives in minestrone soup? Never have i ever seen this in my life. It was not good. I will take my own advice and stay home and make...
