Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in Woodstock Township

I called and ordered a pizza and a rootbeer float from them and my mother and girlfriend ordered a medium cheese pizza ten minutes later. When they got there they paid for both pizzas but the medium still had a few minutes left so they said they would sit down and wait for it. The employees completely forgot about them while they were sitting there and one of the employees was very obviously high on something because when asked how the pizza was doing they said "what pizza" and couldnt find our pizza for about 5 minutes. They sat for about 30-45 minutes while waiting on our food. When they FINALLY found the pizza, the high employee tried to say they hadnt paid him theyd paid some else because hed forgotton. By the time they got the food the first pizza was cold and hard and the ice cream in the float was completely melted. They were closed by the time we figured out the order was ruined. When we called back the next morning it took almost 20 minutes to actually speak to someone because they kept putting me on hold. When we finally managed to talk to someone they told us that they wouldnt do anything for us until after 4 when the manager got there. Why wouldnt a manager be there at all times? When we said we werent gonna be in the area at 4 and we just wanted our order fixed, they said they wouldnt fix it until after four. *Menu online is out of date, prices and food options are not current. *Price that showed up upon delivery higher than quoted over the phone (dishonest business practice) - no explanation given. *Food was not good. *We were not asked about what options we wanted with our dinner choices. *They do not carry regular french fries (!) bland, stale, cold tater tots are the other option we received, other than wedges. *Their phone is old, static overwhelms call, drops, makes for a very uncomfortable ordering experience. *Staff is odd, inconsistent. A lot of attitude from the male staffer there this evening. The older lady is the best and on top of things. *Get the sense they're busy, could barely care about your order or keeping your business. *$6 delivery fee for less than 1-2 mile drive to our place - this is ON TOP of tip.

Not ordering from them again. Expensive for what you get - except for the pizza, it's decent. But, there are too many pizza options in the area for this nonsense. We live in a pricey neighborhood - they don't rise up to what the locals deserve in terms of value.

And they clearly don't care what their customers think since no once from this place comments on these reviews and tries to make things right and keep a valuable...

I'm a pizza snob. I compare pizza to my dad's homemade from scratch pizza. Growing up, every Saturday dinner was pizza. We made various tomato sauces from tomatoes picked from my dad's family farm. Our pizza sauce was homemade, as well as the dough. Simple and delicious. Big name pizza joints never could outshine my dad's pizza. Luigi's pizza dough is simple, making it, in my opinion, way better than these chains.
