All 4 in our party agreed on the one star rating. The place is a bit dirty and run down looking, the staff- while attentive - were not especially friendly, ( an older woman, who was working harder than either of the other wait staff being the exception) especially to one of the children in our party. One waitress could be seen eating in a food prep area and complaining about customers coming in while she ate, as she was unable to eat her food. It was a peak business time, so perhaps in the future she may want to schedule her needs appropriately, I mean, honestly, is she there to work or eat ? It took 35 minutes to get served. My home fries tasted old and my eggs were runny, the girls enjoyed niether their pancakes or their french toast, but liked the hot cocoa. All in all an unpleasant dining experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend avoiding this establishment.

Whenever I am up in Vermont I try to stop by here for breakfast. Their food is consistently delicious and hot. The two things I'd recommend the most are their muffins -- literally the best -- and to try their ice cream. It's very creamy and delicious. Everything else I get here is just a bonus. Their pancakes are also good and so are their omelettes. No matter what you do you can't go wrong. The waitstaff are always kind and attentive, no matter how busy they are. Always a pleasure to visit this place and I recommend it to anyone I know is visiting the area. Be aware this place is cash only. They do have an ATM. Sometimes they get very busy so you may have to wait to be seated. It is worth it! They also have paintings hanging around the building that are available for purchase -- they're also cash only, so be prepared if that's something you may want to buy.

A must visit place! We met the owners son (Ben) at their farmstand, he was very friendly and recommended we visit the restaurant. The next morning we showed up and had an amazing breakfast. You could taste the freshness in the food. I had the apple omlette, very delicious! It had maple sausage and Vermont cheddar! The cheese was the type of cheese you want on an omlette! I also had it with the rye bread they make on Burlington with the raspberry jam, sooo damn good. My husband had pancakes. I had a bit of his pancakes and omg they were both fluffy and nice and crispy and buttery on the outside! It filled us to the point it held us for our 7 mile hike lol A good country town vibe i loved it! Will definitely be visiting next time!

I went here a few years ago when it was in the heart of Woodstock and enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that I was really looking forward to stopping again this past weekend. We walked in and there was one empty booth and we were told "be right with you folks". We stood in the doorway and waited patiently. Another table left and after about 5 minutes and we were told again "be right with you". A couple of minutes later the small table near where we were standing left. I asked the waitress if we could go sit in the booth and she said hold on I'll clean this this table for you (the small table next to where we were standing) and proceeded to do other things. So after about 8 minutes of standing there and being told 3 times to hold on and be right with you, we left. I've worked in food service, you dont leave people waiting that long when there's empty seating. This place has lost its charm and appeal and is now just another hustle and bustle diner with extremely poor service. It didn't even deserve the one star I gave it but that was the only way to...

Worst waitress ever! 1st we ask for ticket to be split 2 and 2. She informed us that we would get 1 check and it could be split at register. 2nd we ask for extra napkins which we never got. 3rd we ask for straws for our drinks. Reluctantly she gave us each one. 4th we ask for refills for our ice tea. We got warm tea with no ice. We finally got another waitress to bring us a small glass of ice to share. 5th we ask about getting ice cream for desert and she told is to go downstairs. 6th after waiting about 10 min for our check we ask the waitress that brought our ice about how to pay. She told us our waitress would bring ticket to the table. After at least 5 more minutes we ask Tina to have our waitress bring our ticket . After another 5 minutes the waitress who brought our ice came and laid our check on our table . After waiting for what seemed like another 5 minutes we left cash on the table with the check and left. No one ask but the turkey vegetable soup was missing the turkey and the sandwich was very dry. More bread than meat. Not our best...
