My family and I have been coming to Padrino’s Pizza for over 20 years. We also go to other pizza shops in MontCo PA primarily for logistical purposes, depending on where we are or who we are with.
I find that there are a lot of mediocre pizza shops in Southeastern PA. Some are just ok, some are better than others, but Padrino’s is one of the best out there.
There are other great ones as well, but Padrino’s has a special flavor to it. The people are nice, their prices are reasonable (not inexpensive, but not too expensive), the portion sizes are good, and the food is fantastic.
Their pizza usually hits that perfect nirvana that is crust that is crispy on the outside, but chewy on the inside, making it a joy to consume. Then, their sauce and cheese combination is perfect. I have never said that I thought there was too much or too little cheese on any pizza I’ve had there.
Then there is there sauce, which has a unique flavor I haven’t found anywhere else in PA. It is so delicious.
Besides Pizza, Padrino’s serves a fantastic Caesar salad (which again is a unique version of Caesar dressing), delicious pasta dinners, massive Stromboli’s, etc. I’ve heard their subs are also really good but I find I only order pizza, Stromboli, or pasta because I like Padrino’s versions of each.
Friday nights can be a bit too busy and the pizzas a bit too rushed to a point that it can affect how good they are. Also, the wait can be a bit long (over 50 minutes) if you order a pie at 5 or 6 PM on Friday night. Regardless, it is often...
Read morePopped in for a slice, which was excellent. In fact, I have eaten there several times, and always liked what I ordered. But the service ranges wildly between "like best friends" and utterly surly. Maybe the folks they are nice to, and want to talk to, and interrupt themselves while taking your order are their best friends. But is is hard to know how they get new friends if they treat infrequent customers the way they did me. Short, snappish questions; interrupted me while I was answering to chat with someone else; snapped at me again to answer; gave a brusque rude reply when I asked what was on the available slices. Sneered and pointed at the cups next to the drink machine when I asked for a cup - BECAUSE THE SIGN ON THE MACHINE SAID TO ASK IF YOU WANTED WATER. Etc. I really feel like ordinary civility ought to be in the skill set of everyone who serves at...
Read moreI’ve been a house painter for almost 20 years so I’ve been all over Philly and Montco. Let me tell you guys this is with out a doubt one of the best pizzas in the Philly/Mont co area. Their dough is light and airy , and their sauce is top notch, it’s absolutely delicious! If you go there at lunch time they have a variety of specialty pizzas and let me tell you they’re all amazing! Their Sicilian pie might be my favorite thing to eat period. It’s a family ran business and they are some of the nicest people. I don’t always work in the are but when I do I’m there every day for as long as my job last. They are seriously artist when it comes to pizza making. Go there at lunch time 11-12 and you will see what I’m talking about. The best pizza in town with awesome people running it, you must go and get...
