#6 on the Worcester Pizza Quest Hungry and didn't want to cook we looked at the next pizza place on the list. Palace Pizza, I thought I knew this place but I just couldn't remember. I dialed the number and a very friendly very happy woman answered the phone. She was one of those people that enjoys life and was happy to have a customer call for a pizza. It gave me a hope for the pizza. I ordered one large cheese and one small mushroom. I dropped the address into my trusty TomTom vrrroomm and away I went. When I got there it was aaahhh yes I know this place, this is right beside the polar soda plant. I walked in and it had the wonderful smell of pizza. It got my mouth watering and a really good feeling about this place and its pizza. The front counter person must have been the same woman who took my order she was very pleasant and helpful. Very nice people. We got home and opened the box and a smile spread across my face. They make thin style pizza just the way I love. I took a slice it felt soft. I took a bite and it was good, but disappointing. :( the sauce was ok and the cheese was good, but the crust soft and wobbly. A thin crust pizza should never be soft and wobbly. Disappointed we talked about how we were bummed about the pizza. It just came out of the oven when we got there. So that wasn't the problem. Maybe they oven was just turned on. We ordered at 7pm on a Friday, nope that wasn't the problem. Maybe they pulled it out to early. It was the conveyer belt pizza oven. That wasn't the problem. They just have the oven to low and that is just the way they make their pizza. It was an ok pizza and very pleasant people. Would I go there again, I guess if we were right beside it and running out of gas and needed food. It's a nice place but with other places to go I wouldn't. It seemed to have a lot of potential, I was honestly disappointed. P.S. the next day old cold pizza. I would not recommend this one at all for that. It lost its entire flavor over night. It was like eating paper just no flavor at all. A double...

As we have for three decades, we ordered pizza from Palace Pizza yesterday. When it was delivered, the pepperoni pizza was swimming in oil, the crust was almost uncooked. Not only could you not pick it up to eat, you couldn't even recut the slices! Excess oil was so bad it seeped through the stiff cardboard box in short order. The second pizza was a veggie pizza with no tomatoes for physical reasons. What arrived was with tomatoes. Both went into the trash.
My wife called Palace back. The person on the phone didn't appear to know how to handle a complaint, she handed the phone to another employee who called his 'boss'. They wanted to first replace the pizzas (no stomach for more today!), then they wanted pictures of the pizzas. All we needed was a credit, we could have easily stopped payment on the card used but didn't.
At this point my wife gave up dealing with these employees. That was over $40 in wasted monies which will never be spent at Palace Pizza again! I'm sorry this happened. Its like losing extended family. Talk about "a bad taste in...
Read moreMy wife and I have always loved this pizza place. Incredible pizza, and now offering Gluten free pizza. Haven't tried the GFree yet, but cannot wait, and will review once I have. The owner is just an incredible guy, Johnson & Wales Grad and such a personable human. See WPD, Holy Cross, APD, WFD vehicles there all the time, because the food is just home cooked mm mmmm comfort GOOD.
I have tried the GFpizza, and was not disappointed. Typical GF crust, thin, yet this had some good flavor! Everything else was classic Palace, great fresh toppings, delicious sauce! Thank you to the moon ,Palace, we will be frequenting more often now that I have found a more than decent GF pizza. Nobody beats my own homemade crust, but, I don't think people would want a 4-6 hour wait...
