We attempted to go to dinner on Friday night, 2/21/20, at 6:00PM and were sat by a young girl who took our drink order. The restaurant was about half full and we noticed that there appeared to be only be one waitress working, along with the young girl who sat us and another woman who appeared to be clearing tables. As we were being seated, I noticed that the waitress was taking an order at a table of 4 people and proceeded to talk with the table for at least 15-20 minutes during and after taking their order. After we had been sitting for at least that long, the young girl came over to us asking if we were ready to order and when we said yes, she went back to the kitchen to talk to the other woman, who came out into the dining area to see where the waitress was and observed her kneeling at the table talking to the table of 4. The waitress eventually went to put that order in and I could see from my vantage point that a discussion was going between the waitress and the woman, that we needed to be waited on. Growing tired of waiting, my husband got up from the table to walk into the bar area to ask whether we could get any service. As soon as he got up, the waitress came around the other side of the counter, eyeing my husband and as she was walking towards our table, she proceeded to say to me, "I'm the only waitress on tonight" in a less than professional tone. I said to her that it would have been nice for someone to have told us that to which she stood there flipping the pages of her notebook, making it very obvious that she was annoyed with me. As my husband came back to the table, I said that we were leaving and the waitress walked away from me to which I said to her that she had a wonderful attitude for someone in the service industry. As I was walking out of the restaurant, my husband offered to pay for our drinks to which the waitress refused his payment and proceeded to insult me in front of my husband, telling him to "go be with the peach." Perhaps mgmt. should staff better on a Friday night during the prime dinner hours or perhaps the waitress on duty should be cognizant of other patrons that need to be helped rather than having personal conversations that should be taking place off the clock. Our experience wasn't even worth one star but because I cannot post this review without a rating of some kind, I am regrettably giving it one. Safe to say that we will NEVER visit this establishment again. Signed Alicia Evans...
Read moreOkay, so ignore the fact that it looks like a creepy run down joint attached to a motel. That's just makes it better.
Do yourself this favor and go eat there. Now. Busy now? ASAP. Not hungry? The second you feel the slightest bit of hunger.
Do not let the name fool you into thinking this is some classic American diner though it still has all of those options. This place is a Mexican/American wonderland. And it's delicious. I had breakfast here. There are so many authentic Mexican options. But many have a nice Americanized twist. I could tell the owner must be Mexican because I haven't had Mexican food this good since I was in Mexico. The options are very unique.
¡Buen provecho!
The picture is the "no manches" on the breakfast menu.
En la foto es el plato de desayuno que se llaman "no manches".. y fue tan delicioso. Más neta del...
Read moreWent for lunch, ordered a pasta dish, a loaded chopped steak and 2 salads. It was me, my husband and little daughter. The waitress took our order for drinks and immediately left, not even asking about our daughter. She is 2 so not even mistaken for a formula baby or anything. When she came back with our drinks I said she would like an apple juice. The waitress said "oh you want something for her?" Then our salads came out. Again we left our to sit as they don't have a children's menu or anything for toddlers. We did order her a side of Mac and cheese but they didn't bring that out till the main meal was ready. So we were not going to eat in front of our daughter and just let her sit there. The main meal took a VERY long time to come out, and when it did it was luke warm at best. The menu said you get 1 free refill, but the waitress didn't even offer that. By the time the main came out, we were just ready to leave honestly. Would not go there again. It is a dated place for the elderly to go, take time, drink coffee and not be bothered. Not for families to enjoy a...
