I was excited today to have lunch with a friend over tacos and some good queso and chips. My friend picked up the tacos and we began to dig in .... all I tasted was salt. The chicken tacos were extremely salted. I tried adding sour cream to help it to no avail. So I switched to the trusty queso and chips only to find a hot cheese log. It was one big congealed lump of cheese covered in red goo. I normally am not the type of person to call a restaurant to complain but I called today. A woman answered the phone and while I was in midsentence she handed the phone to a man. I proceed to tell him that I had nothing but good experiences until today. I told him the tacos and queso were horrible. Needless to say in a matter of seconds it became a shouting match, with him doing most of the shouting. I ended the call after telling him that I would not be back and that I would tell others not to go to his restaurant ever again. He proceeded to continue yelling for my name and how he had plenty of patrons so he was not worried about my not coming back. I once loved this place. Lucky Burrito has a great atmosphere and good food, but the prices literally go up every day. I used to go all the time like once a week and I noticed my bill was not the same every time eventually. Then I brought my brother and his wife in 2 days after buying it myself and ordered the exact say thing I ordered and they said it was $2 more expensive. I understand inflation is happening but for a burrito to go $2 in 2 days is insane. Called today to order but something told me to ask the price first and some how between Thursday and today (Wednesday) the burrito has some how gone up AGAIN by another dollar.
