Five Points Drive In- Ice Cream & Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Worthington Township

Honestly, I absolutely do not understand how this place has great reviews. Twice I have ordered food here because my little niece and nephew wanted to go there and get ice cream and then we wound up ordering food. I must be ordering the wrong thing because my food was absolutely horrible and one of my burgers was missing that I had paid for the manager, looked at me like I had two heads when I asked for my second burger. When she handed me the burger, she couldn’t even make eye contact with me or at least say something nice like” sorry about that”. I was just going to blow it off and just not go anymore, until the other day. The kids wanted ice cream. I really think the look and the way your ice creais served depends on the tip you leave. So, twice when we went I was very pleased with my order. My ice cream Sunday was perfect. Then we went again and this order was an absolute joke. It was basically ice cream in a cup with maybe a teaspoon of fudge and a small tiny squirt of whipped cream. It was so completely different from my previous two I had ordered that I knew this was not an accident. That’s when I realized the other times when I paid I had added the highest amount on the pad. Showed up expecting to get some local yumminess that my husband told me about, well I was completely disappointed. Went to order some of their DOLE cups and a cone. Paid the girl behind the register and all was good till my niece got her ice cream. She of course was happy with what she got which is why i am not giving them a 1 start. On the other hand, my husband inquired about the DOLE and the guy behind the window told him that it would be another 15 minutes as he FORGOT to turn on the Machine. 20 minutes later he went back to the window to inquire again and well THEY still had NOT turned on the machine and told him that they were out of that product. This was a waste of 40 minutes for us as I was on my lunch break and didn't get to enjoy my favorite type of frozen yumminess. I’m not sure I will stop again. I ordered a double cheeseburger cauliflower a large pop and large twist cone. I got my cone and drink quick, food came out a few minutes later. I took it to the car and drove about 5 min up the road estimate g my ice cream cone. When I went to eat my cauliflower there was 4 pieces, one the size of a fifty cent piece , one a quarter size and 2 a nickle size. I had more batter scraps from the deep fryer then cauliflower. And the bag and my seat were saturated in oil in those few minutes. Not worth the $4.00.
