If you are looking for a great fall venue for a small wedding with unmatched service look no further than the Goldenrod Inn!
Eric and team absolutely hit out of the park making sure we had everything we needed for our big day and went above and beyond! We had just under 60 guests with the reception in their event room with a dance floor. They offered a tent outside but opted for indoor reception incase of bad weather. The pavilion outback was great in the with colors just starting to change. They even have GOATS you can visit the back of the property.
Eric was always in contact with us since the planning phase. During our selection process Eric mentioned he and Aaron acquired the property and planned renovations to be complete before our wedding 28 Sept 2024... And they delivered!! We were originally on the fence about selecting them but we sure were glad we did and we plan to come back for future anniversaries.
We booked the rooms upstairs as well and it included breakfast, which was phenomenal between the frittata and all the pancakes (chocolate banana, blueberry, and plain). The rooms have been renovated and we're very homey! He helped coordinate a couple last minute items and even finished the seating chart that wasn't coming together as I planned... the stain I applied didn't allow the double sided tape to work to hold up vinyl records, Eric said he would handle it and initially I was in disbelief... But I'm so glad I trusted him...He took care of it and it looked just as we imagined (pic below)! He got the grass trimmed just for our event within 30 mins after I pointed out it was a bit tall (the rain prior to our event made it difficult to mow before hand).
I can tell Eric is admired in the local worthington community after he suggested the groomsmen and I go to the local golf course prior to the wedding. The owner Helene asked if we were with Eric and then she said not to worry about anything and she'd take care of us. She did even though a gold tournament was going on when we arrived!
I hope I'm not missing anything because we cannot be thankful enough for having such a successful event! If you are around Worthington, the Goldenrod Inn is a must stop if for anything else just to meet the amazing owners....
Read moreI had always heard myths and legends from my parents about places that would both offer a bed and breakfast under one fee. Luckily those in Silicon Valley have not pushed those traditional (REAL) bed and breakfasts to extinction.
The Goldenrod was fantastic. If you find yourself visiting Western Mass in the Amherst/Northhampton (Five Colleges) area, you should stay at the Goldenrod. The location is only 30-40 mins from those schools. The drive through Williamsburg and Chesterfield and on into Worthington are very scenic as well and add to the charm of the stay at this wonderful (REAL) B&B.
The common living room area was great, and you can strike up good conversation with other guests. There was a record player that was a nice surprise and if you have the space to pack, you oughta pack some vinyl.
I did not have any issues with the stay, only that we could stay 2 nights before heading back to the big city.
I'll definitely be looking...
Read moreMy husband and I had looked forward to our visit to Worthington as it held some of our favorite places - Sena Farm Brewery, a great 9-hole golf course and the restaurant that used to be housed at the inn. When we arrived around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon, we were told that our room was not ready and to wait upstairs because they were getting ready for dinner. We found Aaron upstairs, who very nicely told us our room was almost ready. We didn’t have to wait long. Fast forward to Monday morning. We planned our morning around the breakfast that was to be served at 9:00. We are early risers, so we went for a hike at Chesterfield Gorge. When it was 9:00, we went to the dining room expecting to find a sumptuous “B & B” breakfast. We were told that breakfast was upstairs in the common room. We found a couple single-serve containers of yogurt and cereal. We were very disappointed and hungry! We quickly checked out to find...
