Well what can I say!!! The wife and I went there on a recommendation of Mark(local we met) and it did not disappoint! We showed up at 430 and sat at the bar, had a few beers chatted with the locals(dinner was at 530)The place is an old gas station/garage converted into a bar/restaurant. Decorations are weird but so cool! Gotta see to understand! The people are so friendly! Around 5pm the mad rush happened! At least 50 patrons came in! Even a former mayor and the current mayor of a nearby town! People locally and from nearby towns come here to eat. Felt like I was at home with family waiting for dinner! Dinner was potluck(fried catfish, sausages, green beans, tomatoes, grits, Cole slaw, sautéed peppers & onions, German chocolate cake and bread pudding! The food was amazing! The whole experience was amazing! Just down to earth southern people! Going back tomorrow for wing night and a live band! A...
Read moreThe first time we ate there a group of us walked in and we didnât know if we were supposed to just sit down or wait to be seated. This is obviously a locals joint and we got stared at for a few minutes until we figured it out. The food was very good and the waitress and bartenders ended up being very friendly. We struck up a conversation with some locals and they were also very friendly. The second time we went was Saturday steak night. Again we had no idea or no direction on what their process was. Finally figured that out, you line up and pay for your steak at the cash register. That was fine. My steak however was all fat. I couldnât eat much of it. I hate just giving 3 stars because the staff is no nice, and it would have been 4 stars based on our first visit. I wonât be going back but itâs an experience you should try...

My party got the fried catfish basket and beef burgers. Food was fantastic all around. My boyfriend got the sweetened iced tea, five glasses later we told the servers we wanted to buy it. We told them weâre from PA and traveling via RV. They didnât have sweetened iced tea ready, but they decided to make a gallon for us to take with. We stayed after dinner to enjoy the pool tables and some great karaoke singers. We plan to make this a stop every time we travel south. Thank you Haroldâs for your southern...
