I was super excited to come here. Oh, wait, that was another place called lobsters of the boat, but they were closed, so searched and found here instead.

It's situated right off the coast, so there is an excellent view. It's almost worth the cost of admission alone for that.

There were 2 of us. My other half had the twin lobsters. I tried to have a beer on draft. Couldn't because the tap was broke. It got fixed later though.

We had some fried clams for appetizer. Was fresh and good, though took about 20 minutes to come. Drinks took forever as it appeared they were short staffed.

Of course, it may be that we we're upstairs where people were. If had chosen to sit downstairs, the service would probably be better as there was much less tables filled. Much quieter too.

My lobster roll came along with the twin lobsters. The lobsters were great. The lobster roll? It was bland as could be, though a lot of salt and pepper gave it some flavor. The waitress promised she would come by and see if liked. If didn't, she'd get me something else. I never had an opportunity to get something else as she never came back. Those at the bar was keeping her busy.

We're into this an hour and finally got meal so might as well eat it. The twin lobsters was a great value. Not sure how long food sat downstairs before being brought up as potatoes were cold, but the lobster had good flavor.

Our waitress when available has a great personality.

Overall, we had the privilege of paying about 75.00 for a a substandard experience and will probably seek alternatives in the area when the lobster mood strikes again. One additional star added for the great taste and value of the...

Really disappointing experience. We work hard in our daily lives. We came to York for a nice weekend away. Only having 3 days to spend here and unfortunately one of them was spent dining at this establishment.

Clearly this business is relying on its proximation to the ocean, because that's all it's got going for it.

Last night my partner and I were met with an underwhelming atmosphere upon entering. The bathroom is absolutely gross and seemingly hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The calamari was rubbery, flavorless and you get the smallest portion for $15. The small cup of clam chowder for $7 (outside of the service) was the ONLY good thing here. His broiled haddock was abysmal. Zero flavor and extremely dry and overcooked- for $25 served with 3 minuscule pieces of asparagus. After eating the appetizer I assumed the food would be sub par and decided to order chicken tenders and fries, because you can mess that up right? Clearly whoever is cooking here has never tasted their own food. The fries were cooked in old grease and tenders also had zero flavor. For me to not be able to eat French fries, they have to be so bad. At this point in the service we were very disappointed.

Our server Paulo was very kind and apologetic about the experience. Not that it's his fault by any means. The owner or management should strive to do better.

A $50 bill, (after mine was removed for being uneatable) for food this bad is unacceptable.

We have to demand better as a society, and do better as...

I walked up with my daughter and asked for a to go lobster since I was staying across the street. The waiter said he would have to ask the manager and he did. The manager abruptly said no you can’t have takeout and walked away. I left and talked to my wife about it and decided that we would go and eat at the establishment. I called ahead and asked for a outside table, and again they abruptly said first come first serve, and hung up the phone. We showed up and made a request to sit at the one table that was available outside. The waiter said that they are not sitting outside and I motioned at the two tables that did have people sitting at them and had not yet ordered and the manager paused shrugged and said no can do, they have been here awhile. My family begrudgingly sat inside. We waited for ten minutes without being approached and decided to leave when we had to kill a few flies at the table. We went about a mile away to Foxes.... Had a great meal, friendly service and it was CLEAN! Skip this dump!

Thank you for responding. This is clearly not the manager who was there. Had he articulated any of your response, this post would not have been necessary. You really need to reconsider your managerial staff, almost anyone would’ve been better. He was not interested in helping me out or answering any questions. Just absolutely awful. But thank you very much for your response, it...

If you ever want to eat an old fashion lobster meal from Maine, this is the place to have it. The food here was excellent, and many compliments to the chefs! I highly recommend trying the “Down East Shore” Dinner plate. The plate includes a 1 ¼ pound lobster, a delicious cup of New England Clam chowder, fifteen or more steamed clams, a baked potato as well as other options, and a sweet potato side. That said, what seemed to be missing from the menu was a “Hush Puppy?” The cost of the meals for four adults was amazingly excellent given the quality and quantity. Please keep in mind the price for lobsters depend on the market value at the time of purchase. I believe I paid approximately twenty-five dollars for my 1 ¼ pound lobster in Maine, but I know for a fact, we would have paid double if we were back home in the Great Pacific Northwest. As for the staff, they were friendly and professional, especially the manager/owner. She was very warm and welcoming, and the staff made sure we felt welcome and were attentive to our needs. The establishment was nice and clean, including the restroom facility, and the view overlooking the water across the street was breathtaking. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! I definitely left satisfied, and if I should ever return — I would definitely stop back by to enjoy another tasty lobster dinner!

Beautiful views all around from the 2nd story of the restaurant. Light and airy bar and cafe atmosphere. Great prices. Ordered: 1. crab cakes - great flavor and freshness 10/10 2. Big Huge lobster roll - more lobster than could fit on the bun. ordered a 2nd bun just to enjoy the sandwich again. Cooked well but cold. Thought it might be lightly seasoned with old bay and butter or something of that variety. Came with fries and cole slaw. I believe the fries were seasoned with old bay. Great texture and crispiness. 3. fried clam strips - more fried batter than clam. It was falling apart as I was attempting to pick it up with my hand or the fork. Decent texture, but not the best delivery. 4. warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream - definitely a great option if you have a sweet tooth or just want to go all out on the full course meal 5. 3-5 happy hour Mojito. Thumbs up! Lots of lime but removing one makes it less tart. Good to go. No food pics for this one. We were too hungry! xD 100% would visit again.

See pictures. There was a rotted black scum filled mussel that when opened got all over my fingers and the rest of the mussels in the broth. It smelled horrible, so we didn't get to enjoy the mussel appetizer at all. Then the meals arrived two minutes after the starter, which would have left us with cold entrées had we tried to finish the starter. I got a lobster roll. It was $30 which is fine if the lobster is fresh but mine was not. The lobster meat was dried out, chewy, leathery, like it had not been picked that day. The dinner rolls were stale. To the credit of management, when I asked they removed the cost of the mussels and the lobster roll from the bill. The carpeted floors were very dirty, and there were flys in the dining room as well. The service was just ok. The chicken sandwich my husband got was fine and the Pimms cocktail I had was good but otherwise not a great experience for my birthday lunch.
