Rickey Meche's Donut King — Restaurant in Youngsville

The food is amazing but most importantly I want to acknowledge Sophie! She is one of the employees in the Youngsville location and when I say she went above and beyond for my family today, SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!! First we never received our donuts that we ordered off doordash so she talked to her manager and they were able to make more and we would just go and pick them up. As my husband was on his way there our car completely broke down so we had to order a lyft to get him back home. So I called Sophie back and let her k ow that I will have to call DD and just request a refund for the donuts. After calling DD I found out that they could send the order out again with no additional cost to me so I said yes. SOPHIE WROTE ME A LOVING AND ENCOURAGING NOTE ON MY DONUTBOX AND THRE IN A FEW SPRINKLE DONUTS FOR MY KIDS! Even though this is a small act to most, for us it was the glimmer of hope in humanity that we desperately needed. That one small act of kindness literally put me in tears and made me and my families day! Thank you Sophie for being the beautiful person you are! My family and I ordered a King Cake today. The cake was drenched in icing, blueberry & cream cheese filling. We called the store and told them we didn't like it and asked if we could return it for a refund (we paid $12). The girl on the phone did not know the store's policy and had to ask management. When she returned, she stated that unless there is something wrong with it, we could not return it. I told her we didn't like it because it had too much icing and filling. I asked her if they guaranteed their products and she said no. So there you have it. The company's refusal to take a $12 loss due to an unsatisfied customer resulted in the lifetime loss of a customer. Not to mention the future potential customers who read this and decide to go elsewhere. A business or a company that does not stand behind its products or guarantee customer satisfaction does not...

Donuts are a hit and miss. If your lucky they are light and airy. Most times they are greasy which if done correctly they should NEVER be greasy. What’s worse is when you can taste a odd after taste. That flavor is the taste of old oil. Location should really do better especially since the words donut king is in their name. Kolaches are great, staff is always friendly. Wish we could get a Krispy Kreme. Donuts are hot when the sign is blinking. You always know what you are getting. No hit and miss. Sorry Meches in Youngsville....
