Wow this place is interesting. It’s definitely somewhat of a local upscale restaurant. Three big unique areas to dine: one somewhat outside, one inside, and another an extravagant ballroom kind of setting. All are lovely. The food was excellent (loved the oxtail soup). Read moreWe first came to the main pilau (Osh in Uzbek) center to find out that the place is actually under reconstruction and took a taxi to its branch at the Afrosiyob street. This osh was literally the best I’ve had so far in my life, and definitely the best one in Uzbekistan! It is served with sides of your choice and is very cheap. Their plov is mouthwatering, meat pieces tender, the carrots adding a sweet note and the chili a fiery one.
As everyone said, they give you two little side dishes. The sour cream I chose was amazing. I got some hot tea as well to wash everything down.
The staff doesn’t speak English but since they practically have only one dish, it’s quite easy to order and pay. Bill was very low, around 5€ or less.
