There are several branches of this restaurant and as we were in the area, we decided to try this place.
The restaurant was spacious and even had a second floor for bigger parties plus a play area for the kids and a smoking area at their foyer.
Since it was late in the afternoon I started with coffee and cake while my friend ate ice cream. We were thrilled to see their baker toss some dough for pizza then we saw him make somsas. We decided to stay and watch the kitchen fire up some shashlik and other dishes as the evening crowd was coming in. I ordered shashlik as my starter and my friend ordered a mixed sushi plate. We were enjoying our meal as the servers were attentive and the kitchen view was a new spectacle for us.
We wanted to order our next course but we were surprised and disappointed to find out that the lady at the reception took all the menus from our table. She did not even ask and as my photo would show there were a lot more around on her desk where she was chatting away.
There was actually no need for her to do that as in some restaurants they even leave one menu with drinks or desserts as it encourages guests to order more.
I asked the server why the receptionist took the menus but did not wait for his answer as the lady impudently walked past our table with neither an apology nor a menu.
I guess this restaurant chooses people that they serve. No wonder the place has a lot of empty seats when it has so much to offer. Not recommending this place as I do not want other people to experience such unpleasant service.

Beshbarmak - 4/5 (this one was actually the reason we went to Aksu) Cheburek - 3,5/5 Caesar Salad - excellent! 5/5 Tarkhun Drink - super refreshing! 5/5 Kids Menu - 4/5 Service - nice 4,5/5
Thing to consider: I wanted to give a tip to the one who served us but he took my payment card to someone else who then returned my card and I ended up tipping the guy I never saw over our dinner that night. A bit wrong I think.
Great overall!...
Read moreI’ve been to the place multiple times and tried to order different things. Beshbarmak is definitely a dish to try. I really liked the Chimkent variation. Surprisingly, their Uyghur dishes were very good as well. I’d recommend Sumboro, its a dish with lots of tender diced beef, cooked in savory sauce and topped with lots of sesame seeds. It only comes with a small side of veggies, but that’s ok as you’ll get lots of beef...
