I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were also super accommodating; I needed to store my luggage for a couple of days and then leave at 5am, and they ensured that someone was there to pick me up and take me to the airport on time. The included breakfast was a pleasant surprise and quite tasty. My room was spacious and had an amazing view, which made my stay even better. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely spot and room on the lake. Short distance on a bus for 150vt or 40minute walk to town. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are daring there is a roadside stand 5 minutes walk where you can eat delicious fresh local product at night. Breakfast included is nice and basic.

Great views, nice and clean rooms, only problem is that the location is quite far from the town which is not a problem if you have a car.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite for a week. The room is quite nice but is run down in some things. The view is fantastic overlooking the lagoon. The pool are is really nice and has shade which is fantastic. The staff are amazing! They really made the stay, very friendly and happy to help. I think you can get better value for your money at other hotels. The food was good, and the breakfasts were fantastic with lots to choose from. Our room had a switch missing on the main switch that gave my partner a nasty zap. The toilet seat needs replacing it is stained with this black mark which is quite unappealing. The bath has a crack in it and the taps don't work properly. The deck is rotting and feels quite unsafe to use. We were just careful near the edge and didn't lean on the rails. Unfortunately when wanting to keep the room cool you can not enjoy the view as it is all wooden louver doors and windows. It is also incredibly dark in the room (with all the lights on) which means reading a book is difficult. Even finding items in your suitcase is hard. Over all it was a nice stay but I won't be back unless there are some renovations done. I would say it is more like a 3 star than a 4...

This is our second visit to Sunset Bungalows in three years. Unlike most resorts in Vanuatu which lack 'warmth' and charm, this small resort has it in spades. The bungalows are spacious and simply furnished and there is nothing to beat the lapping of the water to lullaby you to sleep. The large balconies, which open up from the room are great for a drink at sunset (and the sunsets over the lagoon can be spectacular). The food is very good, with a range of choice and at reasonable prices. The coconut crab - though a luxury, is delicious and memorable. The cocktails, especially at happy hour are great value for money.||||Without a doubt, the wonderful staff - all of them, are the best asset that this resort has. Great smiles, laughs, conversation and a desire to help you as much as possible. We had great times especially with Elizabeth, Lily, Colleen and Silvie.||||They all work so hard to please. I was impressed by how professionally they handled a very difficult, even bullying Indian guest while we were there. What was noticeable was the absence of the new owners, If they read this, please recognise the good work the staff do in...
