Quán Cỏ May — Restaurant in Chau Doc City

The food was decent but not happy with the service and attitude of the waiting staff.

Fault #1 - the staff got the wrong order for the fried rice dish (we ordered the egg fried rice but received the garlic fried rice). Staff admitted their error but the senior waiter (or supervisor?) kept giving us attitude and trying to make us feel bad that by pointing out the error, the boss will clip the pay packet of that staff member for compensation.

Normally I would be compassionate about a slight error in the order but this dish was for my young child who was not able to garlic fried rice.

They eventually replaced the dish, but I suspect all they did was add the fried egg to the same dish as it still contained garlic.

Fault #2 - I ordered one bottle of beer, but I haven't even finished the first bottle when the waitress simply brought a second bottle and opened it without asking me. I decided to accept that second bottle, but soon after another waiter tried to bring the third bottle! I stopped him there.

It's ashame that this restaurant serves decent food suitable for families to dine at reasonable prices but the poor service and attitude mentioned above ruined the whole experience and we will never...

We asked what they recommended and they said spring rolls and steak with fries. We said no, no, no. I had steamed snapper, my husband had beef with mustard greens(?) and we shared the eggplant. Then he was happy we ordered that . . . The food was amazing. The people working there were great and the local customers were friendly & fun.
