Finding Tay Mơ Amateurs was an adventure in itself. Nestled in the pine forests on Prenn Pass, there weren't many signs, just a dusty path and the occasional friendly dog leading the way. It felt like stumbling upon a secret hideaway.
The cafe itself is a charming little wooden cabin, buzzing with the music of birdsong. Inside, it's cozy and rustic, exactly what you'd hope for in a Dalat escape. The owners were incredibly welcoming, offering big smiles and even bigger slices of their homemade cake.
Now, onto the main event: the coffee. As someone who usually sticks to the familiar latte, I was a little out of my depth with their single-origin, farm-to-cup brews. But the owner patiently explained the different options, his passion for the beans truly infectious. I ended up trying a pour-over, and wow! It was unlike any coffee I'd ever had. The flavor was complex and bright, a far cry from the bitter stuff I usually guzzle.
Overall, Tay Mơ Amateurs is more than just a coffee shop. It's an experience. It's a chance to disconnect, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and savor a cup of coffee crafted with love. If you're looking for a Starbucks fix, this probably isn't your place. But if you're up for a unique coffee adventure, and maybe even making some new furry friends along the way, then definitely seek out Tay Mơ Amateurs. Just be prepared for the possibility of getting a little lost – it's all part...

Highly recommended if you like this kind of vibe. There are not a lot of staff, just 2 owners (husband and wife) so expect the slowness but hospitality of going into someone’s home, if that...
