Updates January 12th 2025. You need to reconsider your smoking policy. People come to the city for fresh air. The whole place is open air while some areas I surrounded by walls on three sides the smoke still blows in. I came almost every day alone to work on my Chicago business until about this 9:00 p.m. Chicago time which is 9:00 a.m. here. with an average spend of 450,000 x 30 (13,500,00 average monthly spend) sometimes I brought friends with an average spend of 1.5M. My family when they woke up would often come and join me along with our Nanny those days average spend was 1.2 to 1.5. And almost every single visit I had to ask staff to address a customer smoking where they shouldn't be. On my prior visit which I swear would be my last a smoker refused to put out his cigarette near my infant daughter I asked your staff to address him they ignored him also and continued to let him stay in the establishment and continue to let him smoke. Today I had a friend coming who also smokes with a couple of his friends I was bringing them just for breakfast downstairs but I was delighted to see the girl at the desk in the parking garage stopped him with a cigarette explaining there's no smoking. I used Google translate to ask are you completely non-smoking now and she said yes I was very happy I was proud of you. That's until I got upstairs and found out that you still permit smoking along the outside edge. The wind still blows the way it always blows. I see smokers using bulls cups in plastic dessert trays for ashtrays all the time. I don't think it would be too much of an inconvenience to tap smokers on the shoulders and ask them to walk to the front of the establishment to smoke the wind always comes up the mountain and into the establishment along with their smoke. Last, the biggest problem is when one person who smoke season other person smoking that person will also light up a cigarette. I never kept my one star promise the day I left angry with my daughter. I believe you work too hard to get to where you are here. As a business owner myself I try my best to avoid one star reviews at all cost. Today one of your employees got my attention and informed me about the non-smoking coffee shop. Downstairs but no babies because of the cactus. That's great and I think that makes sense but now I would stop and ask yourself this question is it the majority who does not smoke or the majority who smokes? I think we both know that answer. You'd be asking your majority who do not want to be around cigarette smoke to go downstairs. I think it's easier to ask your smokers to go to the front of the business. Anyways I think this employee should still be acknowledged for going above and beyond I talked to several other employees today but she was the only one who mentioned the new space to me. This employee should be recognized or in some kind of management or training position. Not sure if I told you but I own one of Chicago's largest consulting companies with 5,500 customers. I started it at age 21 I'm 50 now. I gave the front desk girl one good tip that I thought I mentioned here before. I like the illuminated menu you have by the cash register. Buy one more and put it on a stand near the door because I know the line often goes past the door this will move the line much faster. Everybody stops to read the only one you have at the cash register and the checkout time takes much longer. No charge for this advice. What you do with it is up to you. About the smoking policy, another tip for you. Do the math. I added two new pictures today, three actually. One shows the smoking section with three people in it. Smokers don't want to sit out in the cold wind they want to be inside the walls like everyone else. You can't see tem all in 2nd photo but I just counted 40 people inside. Three of which are toddlers and one infant. If you don't want to change your smoking policy You should put non-smoking stickers on every single inside table. Best of luck in 2025. The employee who mentioned the new space that should be...
Read moreTiem Ca Phe Binh Minh held the promise of a breathtaking sunrise and a sea of clouds, and while nature didn't fully cooperate on my visit, it was still an experience worth noting. Waking up early and traveling over an hour, I was eager to witness the famed view. Unfortunately, the clouds remained elusive that morning.
However, even without the sea of clouds, the atmosphere at Tiem Ca Phe Binh Minh was undeniably peaceful. The anticipation of the sunrise, the fresh morning air, and the quiet camaraderie of fellow early risers created a unique ambiance. It's clear that this café is a popular spot for those seeking a tranquil start to their day.
The coffee itself was a welcome pick-me-up, and the surroundings, even without the clouds, were still quite scenic. It was a reminder that sometimes, the journey itself is just as valuable as the destination.
Visiting Tiem Ca Phe Binh Minh taught me that chasing nature's spectacles requires a bit of luck. While I didn't get the view I hoped for, I still gained a memorable experience. If you're planning a trip, be prepared for the possibility that the sea of clouds might not make an appearance. But even if it doesn't, you'll still enjoy a peaceful and unique morning at this...
Read moreTiệm cà phê Bình Minh ơi is one of those cafés that looks like it was designed specifically for Instagram. Walk in and you’ll instantly feel underdressed and under-posed—because trust me, half the customers are busy staging full-blown photo shoots. If you’re not holding a phone and staring thoughtfully into the distance, are you even doing it right?
We came for breakfast and tried the bánh ướt lòng gà and bánh căn trứng cút. The food? Not bad, not mind-blowing. It’s the kind of meal that makes you go, “Well, at least it’s not instant noodles.” Mild flavors, decent presentation, and nothing that’ll make your taste buds scream—but nothing to complain about either. It fills the stomach, not your food dreams.
The real star here is the vibe. Peaceful, slow-paced, with just the right mix of vintage charm and plant-filled corners that practically beg to be photographed. The atmosphere says “deep thoughts only,” even if your only deep thought is “Should I get another latte just to pose with it?”
In short: Come for the aesthetic, bring a camera, expect a chill morning, and if you eat something that’s only okay—just strike a pose and pretend...
