Nhà hàng Bounce Beach — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

I'm reviewing the restaurant, not the beach. The beach is beautiful, it's very picturesque and looks like a proper horseshoe-type bay as opposed to the straight beach that Da Nang city is better known for. The restaurant also looks nice, design wise and it has a nice spacious feel.

My friend and I were walking close to the restaurant but not actually into the restaurant and a staff member came running outside to ask us if we had reservations. We said no because we had no intention of going to the restaurant and just wanted to check out the beach.

The restaurant was more or less empty so I'm not sure why we were asked about reservations or asked any questions at all, but we were then told that if we wanted to eat we could just sit down and a member of staff would come to the table (which is basically how every restaurant in the world works, unless I'm mistaken) and this felt pushy and completely unnecessary.

We had a look at the beach for a little bit and then decided to have a couple of coconuts, which ended up costing something like 150k each, which is about 5 or 10x what you'd pay if you grabbed one from a street vendor. I understand that you pay a premium in a beach bar anywhere in the world, it's just a bit of a ridiculous premium and they were very, very keen for us to settle the bill as soon as the coconuts arrived. I guess lots of people dine and dash here? We were going to eat but decided against it based on the vibes from the staff who were professional, but the whole thing just felt unnecessarily pushy.

In short: give the restaurant a wide berth when you're walking to the beach and probably just avoid it all together unless you're really hungry or thirsty. The...

Bounce Beach has incredible potential but strongly need improvements to make it worth the trip out here from Da Nang.

While it is extemly pretty and calm here, that serenity did not last long upon being quickly demanded to order upon arrival, to which we were asked to pay immediately.

While some of the staff were quite nice and generous, their English is severely lacking, which does not effect my score as I am the visitor in their country, but can make things very difficult. We had problems with one of the waitresses who seemed to have attitiude everytime she brought our food or drinks.

The staff could use some training on what is on their menu, and at the very least, be told to clear glasses an plates once they are done. Our empty glasses sat beside us for HOURS before we finally asked them to take them away.

The good side is the pool is quite nice and the access to the beach and the water are amazing.

Towel rentals were 30k each which is reasonable but the prices of the rest of the drinks and food are like nothing I've ever seen at even the nicest restaurants in Vietnam. 250k for a small portion of aglio e olio pasta, which unfortunately was the only vegan option on the menu, and I fairly sure they put butter in it, but can't be sure. 140k for a small bottle of water is criminal.

I'd say overall it is worth the trip for the piece and quiet, if you don't mind the high prices, lack of vegan options or the same 3 songs by the same generic artist being played on repeat...

A Beautiful Beach Bar, located in a very a Beautiful location!

Overview:

Service: Not good, especially when you consider the prices they charge. I was there for just over an hour and every time I had to approach the waitress to order a beer

Prices: Extremely high for Vietnam!!! 1 x Bottle of Tiger Beer: 90K + 10% VAT On the 01st July, I thought the Vietnamese Government reduced the VAT from 10% to 8%?? On My Khe Beach, there’s a Beach Club, where you pay 100K and you’ll receive 3 x Pints of San Miguel or 105K for 4 x Bottles of Saigon or Huda. If their prices were more reasonable, I believe a lot more people would come here.

The Restaurant: They offer BBQ Platters (Meat & Seafood), Seafood, Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Sandwich’s, Soup, Numerous Side Dishes and some other snacks.

The Bar: They offer Beer (Draft & Bottles), Bingsu, Soju, Juices, Smoothies, Water, Wine, Cocktails, Mock-tail’s, Tea and Coffee. There were no Spirits, Mixers or Soft Drinks advertised in the menu, which was strange.

The Beach: It’s a mixture of sand and stones, not fine sand like My Khe and My An.
