I was lured to this place by their Tuesday discount. Half price for wine served by the glass. Or as the waitress said, if you drink 20 glasses, you only pay for 10. The place has a nice atmosphere, the owners passion for wine really comes to expression. They have one of the high end wine cards in Hanoi, but still very reasonable priced - especially on Tuesday's. The menu is well composed, yet simple and and with a price range to reach and budget. I'm thinking a mix between bistro and restaurant. The food was really good, lamb 2 ways and my companion had the beef tatar. Delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. We godt tempted and went for dessert. A chocolate musse and a lava cake. Both very tasty. The chocolate muss was served alone in a cup, and misses some whipped cream or berries for a little variation. But all tasty. We had meybe a glas or two of wine more than I normally would, but who's coinitng and for half price it's hard to say no to good wine. The service was very friendly, but it was hard to catch their attention and they where not so attentive on the guest. But I'm sure it's just a matter of training and experience. I will definitely be back, and probaly on a...
Read moreFood is decent but typical fare for Western/French bistro style restaurants. Price is on the higher side of average. I returned a few times because it was close to my home and other French bistros are rather far, but most recent visit made me never want to return again.
Service was poor and unprofessional, the waiters got our orders wrong twice. Nobody advised us on parking when we arrived even though there was supposed to be a security guard(?) of sorts and one of the waiters came to open the door and greet us when we got there. So we got a parking fine for leaving our car in front of the restaurant when the police did their regular inspection. The waiters were extremely awkward around our table after this, so we paid our bill and left even though I’d just ordered a coffee. The owner was there but ignored the whole fiasco as he continued to chat up a friend. Went from a regular to a never again. It’s difficult to build up trust in the service industry but you can lose it pretty fast if you don’t handle...
Read moreI had my anniversary dinner there, and the food was not surprising. We thought we ordered a cold plate with ham and cheese, but instead, we got a huge plate of ribs, fries, deep fried chicken which we never thought we ordered. There are not many photos on the menu, so we may have misunderstood things. Also, we ordered a Beef Wellington after my boyfriend asked several questions about it. we waited for a while, watching the other couple who came in with us already leaving the restaurant. Luckily the plate we got earlier with a massive portion of all sorts of things got us full, so we confirmed with the waiter if it was coming or not. The waiter informed us that the person who took our order would come and talk to us, but never came. It was our anniversary dinner, so I wanted this dinner to be special, however, it felt like a whole lot of...
