Had to delete my previous review 2 years ago to update my recent experience. The restaurant was bought by a company named Kobavi without any public announcement and it’s no longer in its prime. The menu was shortened, with all the homecook authentic Japanese dishes removed, two options available for sushi. Kobavi is a wholesale meat supplier so they focus on Kobe beef and so on. Even so, their kobe luk lak beef was horrible and deserved 1/10 - salty and too chewy i could barely swallow. Sushi rice was too wet. Other dishes ranged from bad to mediocre. Waitress didn’t even know what gyoza meant. And after I asked the staff what other options available for sushi the owner jumped in and said: you have to order beef when you’re here, because that’s what we’re specialized in. Err no, sorry, I came here for Japanese cuisine experience not for beef. All in all, very disappointed I lost a good option for affordable japanese food as I will never come back and have no idea if the previous owner opened a new restaurant...
