Back’s Burger — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

As one of the top rated burger joints in Saigon, I can agree it should be on the list. That being said, I don't put the burger I had at the top (so far, it's still Shogun Burger for me), but it's a good burger. It's very comparable to the burger I just had at Burger Meister in Thảo Điền.

Most chicken sandwiches are a crispy fried chicken, this was a grilled chicken and I will say the chicken sandwich is one of the better grilled chicken sandwiches I've had anywhere in my life - although I've not had many in my life (unlike regular chicken sandwiches and burgers).

I believe the bacon guacamole was 150K/$5.95. The mixed meat patty tasted good. However, I wish I had tried the straight beef patty. I may have liked that more. For what it was, it was still good.

I didn't get a receipt, I think the grilled chicken sandwich was 130K/$5.15. The piece chicken was juicy enough, easy to chew, and good flavor. I added a little bit of the guacamole from the burger on it, and if that is an option to add to it, that would make it even better.

My experiences at Back’s Burger have been mostly positive, with consistently delicious burgers and a good selection of sides and beverages. Their 100% beef burger, cooked to specified temperatures, and the beef and pork burger are standout choices. The onion rings are solid, and the beverage selection is comprehensive, making it a favorite spot for a burger fix.

However, during my second visit, I encountered some issues. Firstly, despite ordering my burger medium rare, it arrived well done, indicating a lack of attention to detail from the staff. Additionally, the pork-beef mixture burger had some sinew in the meat, detracting from the overall enjoyment. These meat quality issues warrant a deduction of two points (-2 points).

Overall, while Back’s Burger remains a reliable choice for a decent burger, these issues with meat quality and attention to customer preferences prevent me from giving it a higher rating. My rating stands...

I’ve been to Back’s so many, many times from the cozy spot in Thảo Điền to the old store in District 7, and now at their new District 7 location - same vibe, same great burgers every time. that I don’t even have a single picture left to post anymore 😂 That should already tell you how much I love this place.

The burgers are consistently so good - juicy patties, soft buns, and just the right balance of sauces and toppings. I’ve tried a bunch of their menu items and honestly, I’ve never been disappointed. Even the sides (fries, onion rings, etc.) hit the spot every time.

What keeps me coming back, aside from the food, is the chill vibe and friendly staff at Phu My Hung store. It’s the kind of place that feels casual but still delivers like a top-tier burger spot.

If you’re a burger lover, Back’s is definitely a must-try. Just trust the regulars like me – we keep coming back...
