SC VivoCity — Local services in Ho Chi Minh City

I was pleasantly surprised by this shopping mall, which offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, and children's attractions at reasonable prices. Shops I found a great variety of shops, from well-known international brands to local shops, with offers for all budgets. Restaurants The choice of restaurants is wide and varied, with options for all tastes, from Italian to Asian cuisine, as well as fast food. Children's attractions The children had a lot of fun in the play area dedicated to them, with various attractions suitable for all ages. Prices Prices are generally reasonable, especially in local shops and food court restaurants. I recommend visiting the shopping mall during the week to avoid the weekend crowds. If you have small children, bring a stroller with you because the shopping mall has many activities for kids. Don't forget to try the local sweets, they are delicious! Singapore is renowned for having some of the best shopping malls in Asia and they don’t come any bigger or brighter than VivoCity. Situated on the HarbourFront and billed as a shopping, entertainment and lifestyle destination rolled into one, VivoCity is home to Singapore’s largest cinema, biggest toy store, an amphitheatre, wade pool and four food courts - it might more appropriately be referred to as a mega mall given its sheer size and facilities. VivoCity offers so much more than shopping, it’s also a fabulous entertainment destination and is quickly being mentioned as one of the must-see places on Singapore Island. Okay, let me tell you our experience was different. I’ve been here a couple times before, but this evening was different… we got some 🪳 near our food! YES… but here are the pros first:

✅ Good tom yum soup! ✅ The dining area itself is spacious and pretty clean. ✅ Staff is pretty ok. They’re quite busy usually but still try to maintain order.

Now for the bad…

❌ The kitchen area is unhygienic. This is how we know: we got the new fish dish with xoi (glutinous rice) that’s steamed in the small bamboo container. The bottom part of the steamer had baby roaches and other tiny bugs crawling all underneath it. At first we didn’t notice until my boyfriend turned it over to put with the lid. I glanced over and saw something MOVING… I yelped! Not a pretty sight.

⏭ Next, we spoke to the managers and they apologized many times and didn’t charge us for the dish. I thank them for this part.
