This place trumps all other Japanese place in the area in terms of authenticity and quality, at first this place gave an exclusive feel that made me think mistake it for a fine dine spot, however it is a very cool izakaya with delicious Yakitori (Japanese skewer).
Their skewers are extra moist with a lightly sweet teriyaki glaze all over it. I ordered chicken breast yakitori with mentaiko (marinated pollock roe sauce), regular chicken breast and thigh yakitori. Mentaiko sauce is lightly spicy, and savory, blends very well with the sweet teriyaki glaze over the chicken. It's a perfect mix that I really enjoy,
The ramen bowl I had was also lovely, flavorful and rich pork broth, with tasty toppings, despite having 1 single slice of of pork, and that pork slice was blowtorched to be burnt lil bit.
Noticing the chef, owner, and staffs communicated to each other all in Japanese is giving an authentic feel to your experience as well. A lovely place that deserves...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant, which presents itself as Japanese and has prices above average. Unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected.
When I ordered rolls, they were served without ginger or wasabi, which are usually standard accompaniments in Japanese cuisine. On the positive side, the quality of the fish was good. However, overall, the balance of flavors, the service details, and the authenticity of the experience were disappointing, especially considering the...
Read moreI had a good experience at this restaurant. The staff was nice, even though they were a bit too observant lol.
Food quality is actually great. The quality of the sashimi is above standard for this area, so they deserve recognition for this.
Prices are slightly higher than most restaurants on this mall, but so too is the quality of their food.
Another reviewer commented that they were charged for the wet towels on the table. Which I found silly, until I checked my receipt and noticed that it is true. They do in fact charge for the wet towels, even though you do not ask for them lol.
Here’s the thing. The charge is 4,000d. Which is only 0.15c USD. Honestly, I can’t even complain. It’s such a cheap fee, that whatever principle there is, doesn’t even matter.
All in all, it was a good experience and I will go back...
