Located in the Vinhomes / Vincom complex on the former overflow seating area of Chillab, My Tho City now boasts a French bistro with the potential to be world-class. I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment twice during my brief stay and was thoroughly impressed. On my first visit, I sampled their diverse coffee offerings, including rare Nespresso capsule blends, not the best in the world, but extremely consistent and convenient and allows for a great diversity of coffee options. The second visit for dinner showcased the quality of ingredients, menu diversity, and inventive use of local products. From the tuna tartare to the beef bourguignon stew and a unique Oreo cookie tiramisu, each dish was impeccably prepared and served. As someone who regularly assesses restaurants professionally, I dare say My Tho may have surpassed Hanoi in French culinary offerings. What a fabulous place! The chef really is top quality. Service was delightful. Food was delicious. Beef poke was full of flavour & the organic black rice was a super step up from usual glutinous white stuff! Spaghetti bolognese was so perfectly seasoned & made the proper way with homemade garlic bread as a special extra from the chef. I loved the mountain rock salt scattered on the plate it was also so tasty & a lovely touch. We are foodies & we love food cooked with knowledge, texture and flavour. Homemade Tiramisu - whats not to love. 1664 beer was a bonus. After a long day cycling this was such a treat at a fabulous value price. Travelling around South East Asia for three months and this is maybe the most quality restaurant we have been on this journey.

The owners are really friendly and with the staff make you feel like home. Restaurant is decorated with great taste and has small little details that we really liked with nice music playing on the background completing the atmosphere. To top it all of the food was really tasty and the presentation also so pretty. We had four different dishes and dessert that we all liked so much. All this with very reasonable prices.

They also serve breakfast which we are trying out tomorrow.😊
