READ CAREFULLY:
Apon arrival all the internal lights were turned off, the only indication of the store being open was the indoor ceiling fans spinning.
After ordering and proceeding upstairs I see three grown gentleman sleeping on the wooden chairs in the foyer, laying horizontal across multiple chairs left of the staircase, drinks and rubbish sprawling their immediate area.
Having ordered a Chrysanthemum orange cinnamon tea at 45,000 VND, one expects a small tea with fresh orange and cinnamon.
What one receives is a small Earl Grey tea with a few chrysanthemum flowers, no fresh orange or cinnamon.
I approach the single male staff member to check if the order is correct, I'm promptly told through a translation app that the staff in the past did this, but not anymore.
Having voiced my dissatisfaction the staff member offers me to choose another item. i select a Matcha Latte and then am told it's not available, after another selection im told Cappacino then Latte then Salt coffee isn't available, after being quite struck by this I request a egg coffee, something they shouldnt be able to get wrong.
Unfortunately I battle through the coffee but eventually surrender to that fact it's made with what seems to be 500g of sugar, and leave what little is there from the small cup.
I also ordered Hot, and what arrived was not Hot or Cold, but lukewarm.
The business presents well on the surface but falls hard on its face with peppered used toothpicks on tables, dirty tables and chairs, floors that haven't seen a broom and mop in weeks if ever, and a bathroom that is the same, foul smell, overflowing bins, cigarette buts on the floor, dirty sinks, and what seems to be paint splattered over most if not all surfaces due to there being some type of childrens painting area downstairs, I'm told this is a new addition and most likely there because they are trying to attract customers.
Since the business services a prestigious part of town I believe they need the honest criticism to level up and give the community what is expected of a business in the area.
Positives are the AC and fans are adequate, the area is spacious and the location is nice. That being said, can I recommend the place in good faith? absolutely not! I wish the business the best in the future and if the concerns can be remediated then they stand a chance to do quite well, right now however it's abismal.
you would be best to relax almost anywhere else at this current time as it's all not up to par.
Also come 1-2 o'clock a horde of teenagers come through, which means any and all tranquility ceases to exist.
The concerns have been relayed to the staff and they will be informing management of the...
Read moreSunshine Books and Coffee is a charming and peaceful café located in Ninh Binh, Vietnam. What makes this place truly special is its unique concept: it feels more like a cozy library than a traditional café. It’s clearly designed for those who want to unwind, read a book, or study in a calm and thoughtful environment.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, although there can be some communication difficulties as English is not widely spoken. Despite this, they try their best to help and make you feel comfortable.
The menu offers a modest selection of food and drinks, but everything I tried was fresh and enjoyable. It’s not the place to go for a wide variety, but rather for a quiet and relaxing break.
The atmosphere is serene and ideal if you’re looking for a tranquil spot to focus or rest. One thing to keep in mind: it can get quite hot inside, and there doesn’t seem to be strong air conditioning or...
