OCEAN PEARL ISLAND — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

A very disappointing experience here, which ruined the whole day for my family and me. Space: The beach is clear and beautiful, but there is quite a lot of trash. Food: Bland. The seafood is not fresh, and the preparation is unappetizing. Service: I spent a considerable amount of money renting a canoe to go to the island. I don’t care how much the parties involved share the profits. However, everything from the food to the service attitude left me very dissatisfied. The peak of the experience was when a man I believe was the manager of the dining area had a terrible attitude toward customers. When my family complained, he said it was a trivial matter. This shows a lack of professionalism and a significant disrespect for customers. I don’t expect to be treated like royalty when I spend money, but the way this service person yelled at my family (when we asked him to turn up the hot pot because the shrimp was taking too long to cook) was completely unacceptable. He claimed it was because my family had the fan blowing too loudly and it was very heated – that was very rude. The industrial fan was very loud, and we couldn’t adjust it. Beautiful View, Horrible Service – Even the Manager Was Worse

The view on the island was amazing, with crystal-clear water and fun activities on the ocean, but the service was absolutely terrible. The food was overpriced, and the staff's behavior was shocking.

We ordered several dishes and 6 drinks. Admittedly, we had a couple of drinks from before, which we placed on the table. Instead of politely asking us not to drink them, the waiter tried to take our bottles away, even though we had already ordered a lot from the restaurant. Things escalated, and then the manager came out — we thought he would fix the situation, but no. He still insisted that we hand over our own drinks.

It was completely ridiculous. We were paying customers and had spent quite a bit of money, yet they were more focused on seizing our bottles than providing good service. This place may have a nice view, but the service is an absolute disaster. Definitely not worth the high prices!

Unfortunately very dirty w plastic, cigarette buds in the water, on the beach- every where. If I was the owner I would do 3 things: 1) avoid single use plastic where possible (straws, bags etc), 2) have staff clean the beach and ocean every day, 3) not allow for smoking (and throwing the buds) on the beach.

We were also unfortunately there at the same time as the locals were playing w the water jets super close to the beach so the children could not swim in the waves.

The jet skis should be out 10-20 meters from the beach to allow for safe swimming.
