Fishing Village Hotel & Restaurant — Restaurant in Phan Thiết City

Wish i had of read trip advisor before i booked :( I booked through an online booking site, and should of realised from the start something was wrong. The local bus service from the train station had no idea what or where it was. Apon finding it he giggled and pointed to a broken hotel sign (called something else). Our booking couldnt be found (because they simply couldnt read english) and they insisted on a "deposit" and our passports to be handed over. We refused both until a phone call was made - we were then showed to our room. The room was ok, but nothing like th e discription. The beach was dirty and littered with rubbish and dead fish. The hotel is about a 20 min walk to some basic ammenities. On the second night our aircon broke and the power and wifi went off - they hadnt paid the bill. Once the power resumed we were moved to another room with power - smaller and noisier, with no refund or compensation. Breakfast was very basic and staff were not interactive at all. We checked out early! Nothing like the description, dirty, old and NOT...

This hotel was the most expensive place I stayed on a 3 month budget backpackers trip and one of the worst. I stayed for 2 nights and was unimpressed. ||||We were told at check in breakfast was included between 6 and 9.30 when we went to et out breakfast at 9 we were told they were no longer serving breakfast and weren't willing to budge. ||||It is also very far from the town and we found taxi quite expensive ($au6 for one way). The staff are young and while there is plenty of them there customer service is poor, they are rude and unwilling to help. They also cleaned our room when we were out without warning, while I don't think anything was taken, it felt a little invasive. ||||The food is average to say the least and over priced in comparison to other places we had been eating where the food was much better and cheaper. I saw one other person staying here in the two days we were here so there is no atmosphere at all. ||||In all I would not recommend staying here, the only good thing was having a DVD player...
