Disappointing Experience from Mini Indian Restaurant
I'm saddened to report that our recent experience with Mini Indian Restaurant in Binh Duong fell far short of expectations. Having a craving for the rich flavors of Indian cuisine, we were left largely unfulfilled by what we received.
We started with the vegetable biryani, anticipating the intricate tapestry of spices and aroma synonymous with this dish. Unfortunately, what we received was a bland ensemble dominated by red and green peppers, lacking in the authentic aroma and diversity of vegetables one would expect from a proper biryani.
Turning to the lamb curry, which turned out to be a forgettable dish, not for its excellence, but for its lack of authenticity. Being a connoisseur of Indian curries, I could tell that substituting lamb with mutton requires more than just a swap of the meat; it demands a mastery of spice blends to bring out the bold, deep flavors of good mutton curry. Instead, we were met with a curry that was oppressively tomato-heavy and lacked the necessary depth.
What followed was an equally unsatisfactory chicken tikka. This classic dish should tantalize the senses with its juiciness and the rich yoghurt-based marinade, but what arrived was so parched that it required an inordinate amount of chewing, compelled by the sheer dryness. The expected flavorful, traditional tikka rub was nowhere to be found, leaving the chicken distressfully tasteless.
Lastly, the naan bread—a fundamental element in any Indian meal—was dismally reminiscent of cardboard. Completely devoid of the expected pillowy softness and freshly baked warmth, it seemed as though it had been prepared well in advance and left to languish in a fridge, which was nothing short of a letdown.
Regrettably, despite living quite near the restaurant, suggesting that the food didn't travel long, a generous assumption would be that perhaps the kitchen staff was having an off day. However, as much as everyone deserves a second chance, given the extent of our disappointment, it's unlikely we will return or recommend this establishment. We had hoped for a tasty excursion into Indian culinary delights, but the journey ended before it...
Read moreI have been in vietnam since last 11 years. Have been to many indian restaurants. Its the 1st time that i have been to binh duong and got the worst experience with indian food and the way the manager talked to us.
We ordered some starters like veg momos and fish chilli. The momos were filled with potatoes and not the other vegetables that they have mentioned in their menu.and the flavour was not original. My friend and his wife who were my companions and had come from hongkong gave feedback about it to the manager, and he talked in very rude way. He was just trying to put us wrong. Anyhow we decided to pay the bill for all the food even the one we did not like and did not want to eat it. While we were waiting for the bill, the cook came and started talking in aggressive manner.
I belong to punjab from where the lassi is originated and his lassi was sweet and sour at same time and it seemed as if the water was added to it. We didnt eat the food that was not according to our taste. He asked us that he will pack our fish chilli for us, but after the bill was paid, he didnt pack that also.
Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you ever travel or being to binh duong dnt ever eat food in this restaurant ( mini indian restaurant). Moreover, they seemed to be from Nepal and not India and if they are selling such food on the name of Indian food then they are just not...
Read moreI came from America to stay in vietnam for about 2 months, I have tried many indian restaurants in america and really started loving the food. When I came to vietnam I was really sad cause I didn't think I would find an indian restaurant here but then I looked up near by restaurants and found this one, makes me soso happy! I have been here so many times visiting vietnam and have enjoyed the food so much everytime, I get the paneer butter masala with steamed rice and garlic naan... when I tell you this is genuinely one of the best indian restaurants I have been to I genuinely mean it. Looking at the reviews I was disappointed to see how many 1 star reviews there are and I just cannot understand how there would be even 1 because this place is so so amazing. I also saw that the waiter is rude and I could not disagree more. I think that he is just very lay back which honestly I appreciate much more then an over enthusiastic waiter. He is allways very welcoming and quick with coming to us if we need him. This place deserves so so much more recognition. I cannot express how much I fully appreciate the food that this place makes after trying a couple other places in vietnam this is BY FAR the best❤️❤️❤️🪷🪷🪷!!...
