Since there arent that many Western restaurant in this small city, I decided to give this newly opened resto a go
About the foods, I ordered the "Family combo" but changed the bolognese to carbonara. The first 2 dishes they brought out were the salad and taco, they were really good so I had my hope for the main dishes. But man, the 2 main dishes were such a disappointment. About the carbonara, it has too much spices which overwhelmed the richness of the cream/egg yolk in the pasta. Not to mention the onions, those werent even close to caramelize and the pieces are just too big The biggest disappointment probably is the pizza, and why does it tastes like a frozen one? The toppings are atrocious, from crab stick to sausages (not even good sausages) and pineapple on top of that. The crust and the outlook of the pizza is just sad
The drinks are okay, decently priced. But the services in general isnt very good either. It's not a rush hour my table got 3 drinks at 3 different times, my friend had to watch me drink half of my glass before his was served. The time it takes between 2 main dishes is outrageous, there were only 2 table in the restaurant at that time including mine.
For the owner, please upgrade your ventilation system, I came out smelling like oils and spices, which I dont really mind but its something to be considered of
To sum up, good atmosphere, drinks are okay, appetizers are great but main dishes left alot to be desired, servers are friendly and...
Read moreI am here on our first night in Phu Yen. Ordered the Sri Lanka Kottu and nasi goreng. Both dishes were absolutely unreliable. BUT we had to wait over 1 hour and 30 minutes for it. The restaurant wasn't packed, and after taking the order, the waiter came to say there would be a short wait on the food. We said no problem expecting a maximum of 30 minutes. After 1 hour, staff came over to say it would be another 15 minutes. Then again, in 15 minutes, I said it would be another 15 minutes. Expecting paying customers to wait this long for food is scandalous and the worst I've ever endured. We had been out exploring Phu Yen for the day and went for dinner immediately when we came back with the hope of roaming around after, but this couldn't happen given how long food took. I genuinely thought I was going to faint. I was so hungry and had to have known it would take this length we'd never have stayed. There was a group of girls catching a bus opposite us, and they had to cancel their order as they were going to be late. How this place gets customers in, I really don't know. Staff weren't even anyway apologetic, which makes it seen like this is standard practice. While the food is really really tasty I honestly couldn't recommend to go here if you are hungry...
Read moreFood is amazing, but this place lacks in proper service.
Ordered a steak, pizza and a pasta. They were all served to us at different times, which is not very nice because you basically eat alone.
They told us that the oven had some issues for the pizza, but that doesn’t explain why the steak came 10 minutes later than the pasta.
The steak was amazingly cooked though. I asked for a rare and a got a rare that tasted delicious.
However, it didn’t come with a steak knife, so I had to ask for it. This is something that the waiter should anticipate and place ahead.
The dishes were delivered, but just randomly put on the table, not based on who ordered what. Also the pre plates that are on the table weren’t removed so we had to stack them away.
They were doing construction in the restaurant, but god knows why they weren’t doing this outside working hours.
Mocktails took 15 minutes to make, which is ok-ish, but when the rest of the staff is lolly-gagging, you kind of wonder whether they have their priorities straight.
Also, my girlfriend ‘allegedly’ saw a mouse going round. That doesn’t sit...
