I came here after quite a long time. Located on Le Hong Phong Street, Te Gia Quan can be considered as an oldest one serving Russian dishes. Its decoration is in line with antique Western style with a telephone booth, tag names...The owner may be a big fan of the Beatles as I can see several clippings about this band sticked on the wall. The restaurant offers two distinct dining areas, you can take seats from inside area or outdoor with open and airy spaces. The menu boasts a diverse array of recipes, featuring dishes from various meats, including fish, chicken, and seafood. We go with French fries, seafood soup, grilled pork rib in Russian style, deep fried squid, grouper hotpot, etc. Frankly, those items are not impressive and outstanding as we expected. Not to mentoon that the dish "grilled pork rib in Russian style", which used to be the specialty of this place now it turns out to be nondescript. All dishes are laid out in poor style in conflict with the restaurant decor. The prices are acceptable. The staff should be more friendly and attentive...
Read moreI would like to comment on the food and delight you with photos of the ribs we were looking forward to enjoying, but I can’t, because we didn’t eat any. First time , a few days ago we came the place was closed for renovation, despite it saying it’s open in Google and trip advisor. Tonight we tried again. But this time we phoned this afternoon and indeed we were told it’s open and when we tried to book a table we were told no need, this conversation was in Vietnamese. We duly turned up just before 7pm to be told it’s fully booked- so two wasted journeys. Now when a restaurant treats its customers like this before even serving them, it raises questions of what kind of unprofessional establishment it is. Frankly it’s massively unprofessional , nobody likes their time being wasted and the management of this place seem to revel in doing just that. I find a restaurant with terrible service often served terrible food....
Read moreTerrible service. Staff & Manager were super disrespectful. First thing we ordered was grilled shrimp and after an hour it still hadn’t come out. We asked the server multiple times and they lied saying they were already making it. Somehow at this restaurant, it takes longer to grill shrimp than pork and chicken. Servers had the audacity to lied and laughed about it. No apologies whatsoever. They then did not let us check out until we got the shrimp, which took an HOUR AND A HALF later, in a to-go box! Parking is horrible. If you’re a tourist, skip this place, it isn’t...
