Aroma by Orchard — Restaurant in Lusaka Province

I heard many good things about this place, so I wanted to check it myself. It is aesthetically pleasing, but I don't think it is a fit for a mall where it is. It also has an extensive wine shop and a small grocery inside, but the grocery is a big word for what is offered there; practically, it has quite a minor selection of products, which you can find in larger quantities in better-equipped groceries nearby from Tantika at East Park Mall to... Service was good, but for the food, I'm not that certain; plus, it's on the pricey side —vegetable soup that I had come with no bread but just three tiny croutons. The soup was also so hot (warm) that it overstayed its time in the microwave. Somewhat petite Cesar salad had too much unnecessary (and not healthy) dressing, while beef carpaccio had not very tasty sauce and too many onions for my liking. I must admit that I didn't enjoy the food at all. The place has an extensive selection of cakes, but to be honest, I was afraid that they were not the freshest ones, so I just left (being food) unsatisfied. In the end, I like the indoors (design-wise), but food-wise, I'm not thrilled at all. Maybe this is a place just for a coffee, and I iterate once again, with its aesthetics, it is certainly not a match for a local mall or...

Affiliated with the Orchard farm shop in silverest, the restaurant is at Kamloops mall and easy to find when you get there.

They have plenty of seating options and the place itself is cozy. They had a game showing this particular day, so it was hard to capture the ambiance and decor because of the crowd. It looks like a good place for a group kind of get-together, and they have a beautiful wine cellar upstairs that has a variety of wines to choose from.

The service was slow, again, might be because of the huge crowd that day. The waiter seemed tired but was helpful when necessary.

I had fish filled with Mash, which was a smaller portion than I expected, but it was delicious. I tried their strawberry margarita, which was not to my liking. It tasted more like a syrup mixed with lemon than anything else, and it was too sweet. I opted to settle for a classic margarita, which was one of the best I've had in Lusaka. It was simple looking but tasted great! They had no dessert options that particular day.

I would like to go back for a proper tour of their wine cellar and see what they are...

Located at Kamloops Mall along Alick Nkhata road. Brings a whole different vibe. Suitable for business meetings and the like or to be used as a work from a cafe type of environment. It definitely was well thought out. It also houses a wine cellar from which you can select a wine of your choice to enjoy. It also has a section in this space where fresh produce is available to purchase. I loved the ambiance. The service was good and the wrap I had was so fresh and tasty. I really loved it . The food took some time to be brought out as the food was prepared upon ordering. That's a plus because you are assured of fresh food. Overall, a lovely place which offers sweet potato fries...
