Haefelis Bulawayo — Restaurant in Bulawayo Province

This place used to be a family run bakery until it was bought by Innscor. They styled it as a European cafe and it operated as that for a number of years until that look gradually became old and dated. The food court was recently renovated and now looks very modern and chic. It's a very popular place especially on weekends so font go there expecting a quiet time out. The food is exceptional. They make the best pizza in town. If you have a penchant for sweets and confection like me then this place will be heaven and earth for you. It is on the pricey side so don't go there on a budget. If you would like to eat on the go then I highly recommend their bacon burger with chips. Because of how popular this spot is it has a tendency to fill up so it's hard to get a table and if you do get a table don't be surprised if other patrons ask you to share a table. Haefelis is one place I feel should have been maintained as it was without the modern renovation because it has just become very noisy with the loud music they play and that which seeps in from the adjoined Innscor chain. It used to be the atmosphere one could have business meetings with read a book or simply get work done. Now one has to shout just to hold a conversation with the person across the table.

Although I am in conflict with the environment itself, they have delicious and very affordable sweet and savoury food. There is an assorted menu to cater for your cravings for the entire day; cakes and tarts, pies, breakfast, chicken and steak, chips and burgers and coffee and juice. I do not know about the other establishments but pizza Inn is horrible, very horrible. The lines are unberable, I even fell asleep on their couches, the leather was cheap and uncomfortable. When I woke up the order was still not ready. I went to the rest room to have a drink in the bowl and came back to fall asleep again.
