The Boca museum tour, is very basic compared to other football clubs. I think it’s going through an expansion and will probably be better in the future. The museum displays shirts, icon items and trophies that the club has won over the years. They have a mini cinema where you can watch some of their iconic players (all in Spanish) Ticket wise, I don’t think you need to book in advance. As we paid on the day and got in, we paid £15 per person. So I wouldn’t stress if you haven’t booked a ticket in advance. To get to the museum, you have to go through the club shop, again I think they’re building a new club shop across the road, so stock is limited. Prices of the club shirt are very very expensive even for a fan shirt. So it’s understandable that people buy the fake shirts in the La Boca area, as they are 10x cheaper than the real one. The massive downside for me, is that the stadium tour doesn’t exist no more, so you are not able to walk out of the tunnel, go into the changing rooms or stand in the stands. I understand it was Super Clasico week. However million of people come across the world to visit the stadium. So it’s sad that you don’t have a tour around the ground unlike other stadium tour in the world. However it is worth a visit, while in the La Boca neighbourhood.

It was cool to see the history of CABJ. I am from NZ and not a football fan and still enjoyed it. There is some Maradona memorabilia as well as other notable players. Two video presentations, one had subtitles translated to English, one did not but perhaps they had a different showing which did have the translation. There is an Adidas store in the foyer and it was cool to take a shirt home from there as a souvenir! There is a small eatery at the top. For five stars I would have liked to have seen the inside of the stadium but we were unable too.

La Bombonera is  Temple of football. The museum is interesting but it could be much better! I definitely recommend it if you are a football fan, it is enough that you have access to the stadium. But to set expectations: Tickets are on the expensive side, signs in Spanish only, and the multimedia section is very boring.

I wish they modernize it and learn from the major European clubs. You folks have fans from all over the world! FYI: don't stroll away far from El Camenito, Boca is a rough area even for locals. And gringos with flashy items like cameras & expensive mobiles can...
