The setting in this place is amazing, please see the picture from our table. We had a 6-course menu with a premium wine pairing.
The food was presented in an amazing fashion. It lacked some spices in places but overall it was a good experience. Our waiter spoke very good English and he really went an extra mile to make as feel well.
The wine was trully amazing. We really enjoyed it. Everything would be almost perfect if not the fact that we were made felt very excluded. All tables around us were always offered a second or third re-fills but our waitress always omitted us. Even when we asked to have one wine top up we had to ask twice and waited a long time to finally get it (plus they did it only for one of us). If we didn't see other tables being offered so much more extra wine we wouldn't think twice about it. It made us wonder; was it because we were gay?if that was the case that isn't acceptable. It didn't make us feel welcome and put a big downer on the whole experience. We gave a tip to our food waiter but we cannot give more than 1 star for this experience, the feeling we were left with after visiting this restaurant has a very...
Read moreWe did a tour in English and learned about the vines and winemaking process. It looked like the sommelier was leading the Spanish speaking tour group which would have been neat. It was just us in the English tour and the guide was very open to answering our many questions.
The best part was lunch. The atmosphere is just lovely with all the tables under the shade of a large tree and with views of the vineyard. I appreciated the many menu options after eating way too much food in days prior. They have a couple options for several course menus but you can order a la crate as well.
The food was incredible. You must get the dulce de leche lava cake! Loved the ribeye and empanadas as well.
The wine was divine and loved the sommelier’s recommendations. She chose a rose, the Malbec DOC, and a sparkling sweet wine. I don’t normally like sweet wines but enjoyed this one and really loved the Malbec DOC. We also tried the Henry after they talked it up on the tour. It’s their signature wine made of the best grapes each year. They ferment it in oak instead of the steel and hand mix it. It...
Read moreI've been to many wineries in the states and some in Australia. This was one of my favorite experiences. First the tour was first rate. This is a winery and there is a significant Vineyard colocated, which to me makes the tour more complete. The effort has been made to keep much of the antique equipment in good condition. The guide was Marie who is a French National living in Argentina, her vast knowledge of wine, in addition to the French accent, made the tour and wine explanation and presentation exquisite. The wines themselves were wonderful. I enjoyed the premier Henry which was a wonderful experience. The lunch was a top highlight of the trip. Each course was delicious and the setting well thought out and classy. I was most impressed with the steak, the best I've had in a wine tasting. My only regret is that in my haste to catch a flight I failed to leave gratuity. Give this spot a try, you...
