This was mine and my husband’s first time to Armenia. Like many tourists we choose to visit the ski resort and enjoy a day in the mountains surrounded by snow. Unfortunately, our day did not go as expected and turned sour quickly.

Positives: most of the ladies at the lift ticket booths could speak english and were very kind and helpful.

the view is amazing

Negatives: There are no clear signs or any staff at the entrance to understand what options are available. We had to go ask around many times to understand where we wanted to go or what we wanted to do.

There are two lifts at the entrance. We were told the left one was to go up to the top and there are activities and the right lift is for skiing or snowboarding. At the top of the left lift the only options, outside skiing and snowboarding, are snow tubbing and riding snow mobiles

If you dont get a skiing/boarding pass you pay for each lift separately.

The snow tubbing section is very small and while they say it is not meant just for children, the image would suggest otherwise.

I was excited to go and drive a snowmobile. However, this is when things turned sour. I was refused to rent my own because I am a woman. They have clear gender discrimination and would only allow me to ride with my husband, sitting behind him. They made it clear “women no drive.” They had no other reasoning! Even other tourist there stopped to ask the lenders why I couldn't drive and they flat out kept refusing because I am a woman!

If you choose to go I urge you not to spend your money on the snow mobile rides. Such rude and disrespectful people don’t deserve it!!!

We wanted to try skiing for a change and we were considering going back down to rent equipment but after the snow mobile interaction we left and didnt look back. That is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one. We never tried the skiing/snowboarding part of...

Visited in June, and while the ski activities were understandably closed for the season, the trip was still absolutely worth it.

🎢 The cable car ride is the main attraction during summer — and it doesn’t disappoint. The ride offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding green valleys and mountains. Honestly, you’ll find yourself wishing the ride never ends!

⚠️ A word of caution: the entry and exit to the cable car can be a bit tricky, especially if you’re traveling with children. Since the car doesn’t come to a full stop, you’ll need to quickly hop onto or off the moving seat, which may feel slightly risky for some.

🌿 The scenery in June is lush, calm, and incredibly photogenic — it’s a totally different charm compared to the snowy winter months.

Even without the snow, Tsaghkadzor is worth a visit, especially if you love nature, mountain air, and unforgettable views. Just prepare accordingly if you’re visiting...

A beautiful ski resort accessible from 88 hotel, which is excellent. No hassle just put on your ski or snowboard and ride on the slopes Fairly priced it’s $25 per day and you access all slopes that are really wide long and if I’m not mistaken, the length of the slopes altogether from top to bottom is 5.5 km on the way down from the highest point there is a nice restaurant midway there are two actually where you can rest you know go to the toilet have some delicious food and surprisingly the food at the resort is good Not sure if I was freezing my ass and that’s why I found a good, but I really enjoyed it. The scenery is really nice. It’s full of trees around. You can see the mountains as well while skiing and it wasn’t busy at all. In general. We love the experience. We were about 20 people. We did the three days on the slopes and it was phenomenal. I would definitely go back again It’s...

We went to this place for skiing, it was our first skiing experience, the skiing shoe, suite, sticks everything you can get for rent, if you don't have prior experience, it's better to hire trainers. Beware, it costed us 75 USD per hour, but it will take minimum 3 hours when u finish 1 round as it will take some time to get the pass, and go to the top by cable car and the trainers will insist you to ride snow mobile when you landed from the cable car and you can ride snow mobile to the top by yourself (extra rent), and you can see mount ararat and aragat, its really nice view but the trainers hours is counting while you enjoy the view, and they instruct you while you go down, and they may insist you yo go up again. It coated us nearly 300 USD for 2. They don't remind you about the time and never give you discount. Other than this, its a very good experience.
