Adaminaby is a great little town and the home of the big trout...
The big trout was built by fisheman Andy Lomnici and is around 10mtrs in height and weights over 2 tons and complete in the 1980
The trout stands just off the Snowy Mountains Highway at the entrance point of the Adaminaby shops district in a nice picnic area where there are tables to have a bite to eat, and there is a toilet block here...
The Snow Goose across the road has accommodation, and you can get a good feed here along with a chilly beer Coke or water! There are plenty of options...
There is a bakery that makes great pies, sausage rolls, cakes, and really nice bread! And there is a good little supermarket...

Read moreThis trout holds many memories of staring off into the distance while looking at this fish and i was very cold and the only crisps were salt and vinegar flavour which i dont like and also the fish is very big that is true but the last time i was there my phone battery was dying and turns out it was actually moments away from exploding because the battery had expanded so much that it had pulled the screen off the rest of phone. anyway the fist is kinda crusty and probably a little old and also it needs a bit of repair i think sometimes. i also went to the snow one time when i was there. but there was no snow in adaminaby. there was a hotel and stuff but we didnt go there ngl tho there seemed to be no people at all in this place do people...
