The Mount Osmond Lookout is within the Mount Osmond Reserve. I believe visiting Mount Osmond Reserve is best via the car park of Mount Osmond Lookout, which is just next to Mount Osmond Road, right next to the entrance of the Lost Retreats.

However, there are plenty of exits / entrances for local residents of Beaumont to visit here, such as entering to the Reserve via Bayview Crescent, Travers Drive, Tragenza Close, etc (they would need to walk up the hill, though). Therefore, people wanna visit Mount Osmond Lookout but without a car, they can come from Adelaide City to Beaumont by bus no. 142 or 147, and then walk up the hill from one of the nearby local streets.

This lookout is probably the closest one to Adelaide city, which offers a panoramic view of the whole city, both during the daytime or at night. The most spectacular view could be the sunset view, capturing both the beautiful sunset and the whole Adelaide city and even the ocean at the far end.

It is worth paying a visit solely for the spectacular and panoramic view of Adelaide City, even if you need to walk uphill from Beaumont. I walked downhill and almost arrived at the nearby local resident's house at Beaumont. I returned to the car park area at Mount Osmond Road, but I didn't find it too harsh to finish the hike. So I would say walking uphill is achievable for most people and it is a...

WOW! This hike is worth every steep step uphill. After walking up the hill to where we could see over Adelaide, we continued walking the track and it was so refreshing! We saw kangaroos 🦘 and the views were spectacular. There are multiple waking tracks so it gives us a reason to go back and explore more. Not far from the city. Street parking available. There are a few benches to sit and relax. Lots of mountain bikers sharing the tracks. Was pretty to capture the...

It's a beautiful trek in & around St Peter's suburbs. Very quite & safe. It's a difficult trek too so be well equipped with appropriate trekking shoes & drinking water along with some torches incase you are going in the evening time. You get a beautiful view of Adelaide CBD & spectacular view of the lush green 💚 beauty of the city. We even got to see the Adelaide Airport from the top of the Mt Osmond Hill while we were watching the...

One of the best locations for a walk so close to the city. Tracks running everywhere. Walk up to Mount Osmond Lookout for stunning views all over the city. Sunset is amazing. Walk up is quite steep, but only for about 10 mins. I started down at Brock Reserve then went along the Beaumont link walking trail then through Mount Osmond Reserve and up the track. Definitely a must do when you are in Adelaide. #LetsGuide #walking #hike #adelaide #southaustralia
